Terrible game so far but to be expected with the amount of championship level players on show. Aston, Egodo, Maher, Massey, Shorrocks, Clare, Hankinson and possibly even the likes of Tautai falling under that category. Hopefully it’ll improve.

You're not wrong, all the above are that championship players (bar Massey, a lot of his work goes unnoticed, ok he knocked on twice but trust me he works hard, tackles well, quick PTB, he starts in a Powell side every time)

But you combine 11 players out for Cas , with however many missing for Wigan, throw in some putrid weather and a third game in 8 days, this is what you get.

Truth be told I thought Wigan would win 30 4, they still might but I'm content with how we played that first half. Still have question marks over our resilliance as Wigan haven't thrown much at us

Just check out the differences in dressing rooms. Cas players listening intently to instructions from Powell whilst the Wigan players are just sat around twiddling their thumbs looking bored

Cas are stifling what little attackintb threat Wigan possess very well.

How is that a knock on? Chris Kendall is an awful referee.

I think the refs need to look up the definition of a knock on.

Listening on the radio, seem to be getting a knock on every minute, completion rate must be very low.

About 80% of them never went forward

Other referees whilst criticised often i’ve still seen them have their good games thrown into the bad showings. Kendall though I’ve yet to see him ever have a good game. How he gets gigs (and good gigs at that) is baffling.

Dreadful game but a good effort by Cas considering the players missing. They might have won but the less that’s said about Wigan the better.
