| Maybe to square the circle of the Hardaker & Tomkins shenanigans he'll get a gig at Cas, they like a good project.

Well we need something otherwise our season will head the same way as yours and we could find ourselves struggling for 8th let alone 4th. Zero x factor and zero flow. There isn't many players left to have a stable at full back.

| Stephen Myler signed for London Irish but maybe he had a get-out clause as they got relegated? It would be nice to see Eastmond back in RL, although I'm not sure where he'd play nowadays. Presumably centre?

| Any club worth their salt will stay well clear. He is made of glass. I have watched him a lot in union over the past few years (when hes not injured that is) and he looks so out of place on a rugby pitch these days. Dont get me wrong, hes great going forward but misses so many tackles, from what looks like, fear of hurting himself.

| To be fair, Barba doesn't seem too keen on the D, as us cool cats call it these days.

If you score 3 try's every game, it doesn't matter too much if 1 comes the other way.
and he seems to have the 12 players in front of him pretty well organised.

Exactly...in 14 games he's played this season he has scored 18 tries and assisted 19 so with a record like that in attack the odd try here and there to bad defence can be overlooked

That's one thing I'm very very impressed by, in the league (according to the SL website) 15 Tries with 17 assists! More assists than your HB's by 10 and 2 more tries than your best winger.
Where is Lomax playing with Barba getting the FB role?
FB - Barba SH - Richardson SO - Fages

| Personally, I'd rather Rugby League thinks twice before re-signing any player who goes over to Union. We are their little safety net when the coin and internationals dry up. How often will we get value for money from a returnee? It seems to me we get someone on a huge salary, who is slower and less tactically aware than before they left.

| Kyle Eastmond would get into almost every Super League team. He could partner Gareth Widdop for England at the next World Cup.

| There's no evidence Eastmond would make a half decent SL player in any position, let alone halfback.

Looks like Warrington very interested.'"
That would be a big gamble by Wire taking on a player who is injury prone and has a weak temperament, think he has only played 20 games in 2 years and has missed quite a few games through bad discipline.

He could turn out to be very good value on the salary cap.
In April, clubs unanimously backed proposals to raise not only the salary cap in Super League but allow exemptions to the cap for new or returning talent – a category into which Eastmond falls having been out of the sport for more than five years.
A deal to take him to Warrington would benefit the Wolves’ salary cap spend – only half of his wage would count in 2019, before that figure rises to 75% the following year. Eastmond would also be likely to count as one of Warrington’s two marquee players – irrespective of his salary with the Wolves, his cap value would be no higher than £175,000.

| I would like to see him back in League.
Was a shame to lose him so early and SL needs players like him back in the competition.
Obviously there is a worry on how quickly he would be back up to speed, we've seen with Sam Burgess that Union took something away from him and it took a good while for him to get back to his best.
On the flipside Charnley is playing like he never left.

| To be fair, Sam Burgess was trying to become a centre in Union, and lost weight and power as a result, not to mention not having an off season before going back to Souths (I think he'd almost played three years straight through due to the different seasons in the sports). But there's definitely a risk, as for every Josh Charnley you could point to the likes of Lee Smith, Chev Walker and Iestyn Harris, who came back poorer players than when they left.

Very true. I don't think Joel Tomkins was as good when he came back either. Seemed to me like he lost size and wasn't as effective at Centre when he came back to Wigan.

Its his temperament and his ability to take on a pivotal role after 6 years out of the game that would concern me rather than how much he costs, if he is a short term replacement for Kevin Brown then Eastmond would need to get up to speed quickly because I don't think Roberts is firing on all cylinders either, also Dec Patton wants a gig at half back and doesn't want to go down the pecking order.
