Anyone else get the email this evening? Club Wembley tickets are to go on general sale for the challenge cup final for the first time.

Tickets are £40 until 30/06, and the usual price of £55 after that date.

I'm assuming those 10-year CW tickets have run their course now. Should hopefully make for a better atmos and spectacle not having a ring of empty seats.

Got my email this evening. I want to know what the 'comfort and luxury' of Club Wembley is? Same seats as everywhere else in the stadium

Club Wembley seats are nice padded ones with holders for drinks.
Also better choice of food and drinks on the concourse.

Have used several times and would recommend.

Those prices sound very good then. I might buy a few tickets.

That's cheaper than the 60 quid we spent for seats 8 rows from the front last year


If fc get there this year then I'd certainly consider paying 55 quid to be pampered with padded seats lol

yep, as ricardo said - comfier seats and the facilities in the concourse are much nicer, better standard food and drink. Far better than the seats up in the gods that I had for last year's CC

Seats are comfier and the view is better (Club Wembley was available for the World Cup semis in 2013) but the majority of the luxury food/drinks were not open that day.

Ditto - think they were £25/25 for the semi against New Zealand. Would definitely recommend. The pie was very decent too.

This will get more fans better seats, with better views that are closer to the pitch, some of the top tier seats are along way from the action.

As previous attendances included all club Wembley members, despite most not turning up, this years official attendance will be the lowest in a long time. Half the top tier will need to be closed at the final from now on.

I know many will disagree, but this is why i think the final would be better off at Cardiff. It is a stadium we can pretty much fill year on year and is a great rugby stadium.

I don't know if there's any logic in the tickets they give you. I went last year as neutral and my ticket was in the corner on the very back row. I sat there until the game started assuming the area would fill up, but no - There wasn't another person infront of me for about 20 rows so I moved closer to the Hull fans.

Was you put in quarantine afterwards?

My choice was go closer to Hull or Wire fans. Easy choice when you're a Wigan fan!

Or Old Trafford, Etihad, St James Park, Anfield.

I would play the Grand Final and Challenge Cup final in the north of England, where most club supporters live, while taking more England international games to London.

I agree. We could even move the Challenge cup final around 4/5 large stadia around the country on a rotation (i wouldn't use OT due to GF being there), get rid of Magic weekend and move the final to the last bank holiday weekend in May where we would have no troubles clashing with the play offs at Wembley.

I like the idea of more internationals in London which is the arena where we should be pushing the sport to the max.

The Premier League season starts on the 12th of August and finishes on the 13th of May. Both the challenge cup final and magic weekend could be held in the off season when football stadiums are available. If only one of these events were to be on a bank holiday it surely has to be magic, doesn't matter too much either way with the cup final.

I bought my Wembley ticket the day they went on sale, and was very happy to be in row 1 of the upper tier. Today, I find that I've had an automatic upgrade to Club Wembley. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't want to be sitting with the sort of people who would choose to go there, but I'll be honest and say I am interested to see what the view is like.

It's just a better stadium than Wembley full stop.

Even the location is better - Wembley itself is a dump whereas Cardiff is a beautiful city.

Wembley is the home of the Cup Final. It's tradition. Let's not tamper with it.

Cardiff is an amazing venue. We need to create a new event for fans to go there. An annual game against Wales at Cardiff Arms Park would be a great start. Build it up and then move it to Millennium Stadium if it gets too big.

The new Wembley doesn't hold a candle to the old in terms of spine tingling atmosphere and everything that went with it. Plus, it is now around 20k too big. Just my opinion.

Agreed, there was just something special seeing the twin towers and the atmosphere just seemed to hit you. Spine tingling it was, the new one just doesn't have that 'feel' to it

It must have been 77/78k from 1988 onwards as that was always the attendance given up until 1999 when the old ground was demolished. so around 12k difference. although we pretty much always filled the ground whatever the capacity if you take the 99k for 1985 final and 91k for 1987 as examples, but the CC was THE main event back then so stands to reason.

The attendances given at the new Wembley are inflated by several thousand by the adding on of club wembley seats even if they aren't in attendance so in reality the 75-80k crowds given are in reality struggling to hit 70k.

Will be interesting to see how it looks this year, how they go about filling it and what crowd figure is announced

The club Wembley seats been empty killed it for me didn't look good even with them going on general sale it just means it will be empty at the top even more a move to Cardiff would be the sensible option
