| Thanks for comments. I have looked at Millwall's website and it's not clear from that.

| Though I have to add, the guy at Millwall I spoke to didn't specify whether you went to the club shop and bought a ticket or just paid at the turnstile.

| I'd be shocked if you couldn't pay on the gate, or at least in the shop on the day. I went through London Bridge station today, there are adverts all over the place. I also got an email from the RFL asking if I wanted to hand out leaflets leading up to and on game day.

More activity in promoting 1 game in London than London Broncos attempted at least the last 8 years. They'd rather spend their money on name changes and ground shifting. Personally, I hope Lenegan fills the New Den. It'll show the RFL and a certain club owner what could have been achieved in the capital!

| I'd be very surprised if they were taking cash on the turnstiles for the match, you will probably have to deal with the ticket office who can't even organise Millwall's home matches properly.
There's been a bit of limited interest from the locals i know, people who watch usually RL on Sky so maybe it might be a moderate success. Most people had absolutely no idea what I was talking about though.
Always thought the Den was the ideal place to base the Broncos - close to centre of town. There isn't much in the way of a pub near the stadium these days though you'd be looking at a 10/15min walk but plenty of boozers at London Bridge/Borough market.

I believe this game is aimed at attracting more sponsors and corporates to the game, so the attendance figure isn't going to show whether or not it had been a success.

| I think it's a really good thing Wigan are doing this. They're the ideal club to attract people and sponsors there and as a sport we need to attract the people and sponsors from London.
I do wish the RFL had given it a bit more of a marketing boost though. I'd forgotten it was happening until I saw this thread.

| Surely if you're hoping to attract Londoners as casual fans, you'd need to have turnstiles offering cash entry on the day?
Londoners aren't going to have applied to the DW ticket office in advance.

Not sure how many Blue Chip directors will wish to spend their family Saturday at Millwall!

| Great idea to take some games "on the road" especially into an area that the RFL would like to expand the game.
Are Wigan being compensated for the loss of income from the game and if so, how much and who is paying them.
If not, it would be a hefty loss of revenue and a fair inconvenience for their fans.

It's not an RFL initiative. Our chairman has done it all himself so no one is going to compensate us.

| Great to hear Wigan players on national radio promoting the game. Matt Smith on 5live on Friday and Dan Sargeson on the Danny Baker show this morning.

| I'd be surprised if Wigan are being compensated. Are NRL teams compensated for jetting off to Perth or Darwen? Maybe they are, but that's a whole different magnitude of expense.
