| The England game was just a warm-up for Samoa.
Beating NZ in NZ in a game of Rugby is the biggest thing imaginable for Samoans.
In the World Cup the Samoans lost 42-24 to NZ. They started slowly, but put in a fantastic second half, and that convinced many of the players that they can match NZ.
The good news for England is that the Samoans will throw everything at the Kiwis, and if they don't win the game, they'll want to win the fight.
NZ should win, but the Samoans will throw everything they have at them.
It should be a brutal encounter. Possibly the most passionate game of the 4 nations.

| NZ by 20+ but a cracking crowd (25k+) on a sunny day and as you say, some brutal hits. Samoa v England were big and brutal, but England's defensive line speed, especially in the 2nd half, invited Samoa to attack.....they won't get half the time v NZ.

| I just hope it's not the usual case of the fourth nation putting everything in to the England game then they look flat in the next two. The aggression that the likes of Fiji and PNG have shown against us in the past has been full on yet when they face NZ or the Aussies they look timid.
I'd be surprised if the Kiwis don't win by at least 20 points.

| There is a long and bitter rivalry between Samoa and NZ historically so I don't imagine that they would not put all their effort in.
The problem is that NZ are on fire and may beat them no matter ow well they play.
It will be bruising though.

NZ on fire? Although they were good i wouldn't say NZ were awesome against the Aussies.Aussies were as bad as i have seen them in many a year.
That said i do expect them to beat Samoa quite handily and when they get a couple of scores clear they will fold unlike against us.

Ok, burning quite nicely instead of on fire. Certainly effective.

| The defence from Samoa is strong enough to win this so far, but it's hard to think they can do it for 80.

| Great first half.
Both sides made mistakes and could have scored a few more tries, but the defence from both has been brutal.

| Samoa definitely winning the battle up the middle, and have been very strong in defence, but they really need to finish their sets better.
I am still anticipating a NZ win.

It's been brutal because for the most part it's been a pretty one dimensional game played head on.

Agreed. He has been incredible.
I don't think Samoa had enough in the tank for the last 15. Still making OK meters, but not as strong in defence. Still need to work on finishing sets and not playing catch-up football when they're in front. When they lost the ball after that wayward pass from NZ I knew they'd lose.

| A tiny bit of luck and Samoa would be 2 wins up now.
However you look at it, we now have a big 4 in the game, and with the numbers of Samoan juniors coming through, they can only get better.

| Another very enjoyable game. If the Samoan Stand off had kept hold of the ball it could have been a famous victory.
Puts a little bit of perspective on England's result last week with people saying we should have won more convincingly.Samoa are a good side and have more than proved they are worthy of mixing it with the top nations and it needs to happen more on this evidence.

| Number 1 on Samoa's to do list must be to find someone who can kick a bloody goal.
Hope they do the Aussies next week!

A gypsy fortune teller would be more likely to predict the outcome of a rugby league game than this comedian.

| It's essential that England at least keep the game close now tomorrow to protect the points difference.
A win would probably be my favourite ever rugby league moment but at least we'll still be in there fighting should we get pipped. Our result last week now looks a good one although I'm sure some people will find a way to put a negative spin on that verses a hugely positive one for the Kiwis today.

Each side -- New Zealand and Samoa -- was stronger in defences than last week. There were three tries each, unlike last week, when each side scored five tries. Yet the attack was spectacular on both sides, with Joseph Leilua the standout. Once again, however, Samoa lost because of goal kicking.
England is definitely competitive, but it has to mark up in defence against Australia if it is to win.

I presume it was cooler then last week? That will have helped the defences. They're obviously match ready now as well so they like us tomorrow should be better.
I just want to see us be aggressive tomorrow and throw everything in to it. They won't get an opportunity like this again for a long while IMO and it would be desperately sad to see them look a nervous rabble who still thinks this Aussie side is made up of 17 super humans!

| Just finished watching it on the catchup on PremSports, very unlucky Samoa but an entertaining game, Vossy said during commentary that we need more internationals, I agree.
Like someone said in a previous comment, puts perspective on the England win.
