And when he does, he should be pretty hungry to earn a RLWC like many of his contemporary Kiwi players. It must surely irk him that as a guy who always wanted to play rugby league and not union, he missed the biggest day in New Zealand rugby league history when they won the RLWC for the first time in 2008.

Has been out of his depth for the most part of his union career. Took him this long to get as good as he was in the NRL.

SBW has been pretty average in this years provincial competition. He missed the Super 14 as he was in France, but I don't think he has shown enough to deserve the AB'S call up for the tour....it's just the NZRU have helped to bankroll his 'return" and they need to get a return on their investment.
He is currently the face of a new Rebel Sports TV campaign over here.....there's one advert when he tries on a Kiwi jersey, then an AB one,,,,,,then a balck caps one, followed by a basketball (tall blacks) one.......pretty apt for a money grabber like him.
As for Catalancs saying the AB's are bolted on for nest years RUWC.......

Seriously though, SBW is not in the team on merit and if you watched any of the tri-nations you will have seen the AB's were pretty lucky in a few games. They are by no means bolted on for the RUWC......I fancy the crims to come good nest year.

Haven't seen enough of Williams since he turned to union, but surely getting into the Top 14 dream team must count for something.
For what it's worth I think South Africa or New Zealand will come good next time.
