Hornets Rugby League Club are a Co-operative and as such we cant really hope for a series of big money backers to finance a team, so we have to look at more cost effective ways of getting hold of up and coming talent or those who for whatever reason have slipped through the net.
So on November the 8th we are hosting an open trial game for those who feel they have the commitment, ability and desire to make it as a Semi-Professional Rugby League player.

Great idea and exactly why grass roots rugby at clubs like Rochdale can't die.
Knowing the amateur game there is some real talent knocking around that would be more than capable in Championship One, good luck.

| great idea, i see quite a few conference games and there are some young men playing at that leval that could more than handle their own in nl2.
whether it would be financially better for them away from their conference clubs is another matter. |
