Gale, frustrated at being outclassed by Leeds, just deliberately walked into Thaler as he was awarding the Leeds try. Deliberate contact with refs is not sensible. Ask Gareth Hock.

If Hock had done it, there would be uproar, bit like Barton in football. Feel sorry for Hock, no hard feeling from his time at Salford, the RFL must show consistency and ban Gale, time will tell.

I watched the game - i must have missed this ! surely if it was a talking point people would be talking about it ....this is the 1st mention i've seen of it.

Leeds second try in the left corner. Cas thought there'd been a knock-on at the ptb and made brief appeals to Thaler for the video ref. Thaler ignored, and as he positioned himself to award the try, Gale deliberately shouldered him aside, causing a short delay as Thaler frowned at Gale and re gathered himself to blow the whistle.

I've no skin in this game for either cas or Leeds. If anything, I was mildly supporting cas. But that looked clearly deliberate to me. Still, heard nothing more about it so he may get away with it.

Exactly as I saw it and was surprised that Thaler didn't take him to one side after the decision had been made. Thaler is the one ref that might act this way, had it been Silverwood or Child he would certainly have made more of it.

No way did Gale not see Thaler yet he just walked his line right through the ref as he was awarding the try, deliberate IMO.

Bailey on Silverwood?

It didn't look great from Gale, and considering the 1st Hock one and the Bailey one were 4 match bans, Gale will be lucky to not get a game or two. Though saying that its easy to hold high standards against the pantomime villains.

Brent Webb did something very similar a few years ago and copped a ban. Hard to *prove* it was deliberate, but looked it to me.

I think he owes a big apology and a big thank you to Thaler, who looked for a second like he would take action but resisted. Probably after speaking to Thaler and his take on events is why they haven't charged him.

Luke Gale's a very naughty boy - should've been an 8 point try for his attempted kick on Penny when scoring in approx the 70th minute.

its a strange one this, the Hock Thomason one against Hull, it happened in front of the Hull fans and none complained about it Thomasson made a joke about it the Media didn't report it. Then the following Tuesday when the match review panel had seen it it everyone had an opinion on it.
