Quote ="NickyKiss"Are there any stipulations about what players can and can’t do away from training/matches? They seem to be all over that in cricket (Archer), Scottish Football (Celtic and Aberdeen) and the NRL (Bennett, Pangai Jnr etc) but I see players in superleague constantly posting about trips to restaurants, bars etc on social media. If they can go wherever, whenever they feel like it away from the game then it’s going to be difficult to stop this from continuing to happen.'"
Indeed, so far I’ve seen Blake Austin think it acceptable to mix with thousands outside of Anfield, Jackson Hastings put his weekly p*ss up all over instagram, Brad Dwyer similar and clearly some idiot at Hull FC has broken social distancing guidelines as well. Idiotic and selfish, I’m sure there are plenty of other examples as well. Until the RFL (and clubs themselves) take a tougher stance and issue fines to players at fault then there’ll be plenty more positive tests. I’d go as far as to say Hull should be fined for the postponements that will have to follow. How hard can it be for players to behave for three months and clubs to keep them under control?
