I saw all 3 games of that 1970 ashes series when I lived near Cronulla which was the last time that either GB or England have triumphed over Aus in a test series. The "Liverpool Kiss" match was the first in Brisbane when Cliff took on the whole Aussie front row in a game which was referred to as "The second battle of Brisbane". GB lost the match quite comprehensively but won the next 2 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The next year he came from St Helens with Tommy Bishop to play with Cronulla and helped take them to their first Grand Final in 1973.
