Agree with this, Bateman and Farrell are not the biggest of back rowers and Gildart is small for a centre although he’s genuine quality. When they’ve got Escarė, Tomkins, Williams, Leuleuai and Powell all on the field at the same time they’re quite undersized for the modern game.

But Tomkins and Escare are elusive attacking machines.
