I'm after a double hotel room in Newcastle itself for the Sat 21st wondered if anyone had booked one and can no longer use it? Availability is very sp with the ones that are still available ridiculous prices. Thanks in advance

If you're still looking, one of the lads on our (Salford) board is flogging a double room for Magic for £100 I think. Having stayed in the Holiday Inn last year I'm pretty sure we paid £150+ per night for a twin room so not sure if you'll be able to get much cheaper especially for such a central location. Have a nosey on the Salford board if interested.

One of the lads with us last year stayed in Sunderland so if you don't mind using the Metro and the longer commute in to the games you might get cheaper round there. He stayed in a B&B which was only around £20 p/p per night. Worth a look if you're on a really tight budget.

I'm not sure if you managed to sort any accommodation but I have a apartment available for the Saturday night. It's the New Mill Apartments and they look incredible and fantastic location. Unfortunately I'm not able to go anymore as I'm in a competition on the Sunday and I can't cancel the booking without losing the money so looking to sell it on. I paid £120 but happy to take £95.
