I don't think many would disagree with that list. It must be a great feeling as a player to have your fellow pro's vote that they think you're the best player.

My understanding is that they can vote for anyone APART from players at their own club. A shortlist is then made up of the ones with the most votes.

Wellens said in his column in the local newspapers a couple of weeks ago that he had voted for Tomkins.

The title needs changing for me. Only Roby on that list could be considered akin to steel. If the players are choosing who they think is best then it should be MVP. Monaghan has been the best player in the best team over the full season, how he isn't on it baffles me.
