Quote="G1"Why, in that case, have no Leeds players been recognised since 2004 despite winning 4 championships, playing in 5 GFs and topping the table twice?'"
Because there have been players who have been more deserving during those years.

Obviously, just for those 5 years there have been more deserving players during those years. But now the Goons are top of the table, one of their players must win it. FACT?
Quote="Money Mayweather"Pffft. Andy Farrell got the sympathy vote in 2004 despite there being about 4 or 5 Leeds players being more deserving.
And Peacock should've got it last season IMO'"
It can happen you know. Sometimes a player plays above others and they are not in the best team. I remember when Adrian Vowles won it and there was no complaints from me despite his team's finishing position. You could say that Peacock deserved it more last year, however there were plenty in with as good a shout as Peacock including Hodgson.
