Quote ="JB Down Under"Probelm is he is seen as that and he isn't very good! Alongside his age it does beg the question what is wrong with player development in NSW? Q'land have Thurston, Prince and Cronk who are all light years ahead of anything NSW has.
I suggest they have a look at the ARU as their best bet of uncovering the next Ricky Stuart

RL is not as big in nsw as league fans like to think... there are not that many juniors playing the game these days.
most kids play soccer or any other sport and it's usually the left overs who stay with RL... these are the kids with poor skills who wont make it in soccer, union, afl or cricket or golf and tennis.
apart from the fact that just about any other sport in the world offers much more money and opportunities than RL why would any talented kid want to commit himself to league which is a very dangerous game that pays poorly.
also note than the nrl is on its last legs with most clubs struggling to stay afloat.
the salary cap has stayed the same for the past 10 years and now clubs like warriors, raiders, cowboys, newcastle, cronulla, manly are all running on the smell of an oily rag.
the player managers are not dumb, they can see the writing on the wall and are advising their players to leave the sinking ship while they still can.
