Technically correct, but needs more explaination.
Drug testing for the NRL is conducted by the ASDA. They
do have authority to take blood samples, and
do take them for some tests. By working with ASDA and WADA, the NRL conveniently bypass the requirement to ask player permission.
So yes, technically the NRL do not do testing. However they have a significantly more stringent test regieme than any other Australian football code and probably more stringent than the RFL.
