Ive no shame in saying I’m on there (AB Knight), I think a lot of the rivalry comes from the matches between the 2 teams plus John Kear’s comments which have been a little strange at times. I don’t read much into it, good to have a bit of banter. York aren’t ready for SL yet, so expect another couple of close games in 2020!

| So frustrating this team, no better exemplified by Ryan's performance. Scored a hat trick but 3 absolute howlers which all resulted in tries/DG. If he has put his foot down dead, then it's Unforgivable as he was over the line. Then he knocked on trying to get out of the in goal. Gone from us extending our lead, to being behind. then his knock-on in the last min giving them the DG.
We didn't deserve to win as we did too many schoolboy errors. Why the hell did we change goal-kickers just because he missed the first 2!!! York wouldn't have swapped Robinson over.
Ref wasn't reason we lost but I'm uttrly sick of professional fouls not receiving sin-bins. Also the touch judge who ignored Evans being KO'd from the head high shot should be stood down. Fair enough missing Knock-ons etc but that kind of thing shouldn't be ignored. Up to us to defend though which we didnt
We didn't deserve to win though. Good luck the York for rest of the year.
Us. I thought Brown looked good at FB (despite his intercept pass) but his passing was much better than Pickersgill. Keep him there. Too many average Joe's though and need some more quality.

exactly what i posted ... ok so forget everyone, we are the Bulls we are the world club champions (3 times) lets just instill into our current players who wear the shirt ... let all teams delight in our demises/defeats and give them their hour of glory but they could never touch what we've accomplshed

| One point to throw into the mix is that we basically went into the game with two props - if we don't count Wood as a prop, which it seems Kear doesn't.
Presumably Kirk and Magrin injured? Obviously Green is - but, come on, Sam Hallas? He can't be more than 12 stone wringing wet. It's like going back to the day of Chev Walker at prop.
I assume Bustin has offended Kear in some way, or is just plain out of shape - either way he is surely on his way out at the end of the season.

I kinda of understand it. 2 of our biggest men pathetically missed a smile tackle on a winger last week which cost us the game. Hallas probably wouldn't have missed.
However why the hell did we have two steady Eddie's in Hallas & Crossley (who really isn't doing anything for me) on at the end when we need a spark to win it.

In my opinion Hallas should be starting as hooker - he has done a good job for us there this season as has got better and better. Now he’s a prop!!! That’s a joke and it is clearly to accommodate Flanagan. It seems that JK has his favourites and that he moves people around, out of position, to accommodate them! I know people love Flanagan but his passes are wild and he makes the wrong options in good ball. Wood has been playing prop since JK moved Mincella to loose. Crossley is full of heart but has t been anyway near good enough this season. His Play the ball is slow and he gets targeted in defence. But again another favourite. It’s difficult with such a big team but JK should really think about his team options and play those who deserve to be played! Shouldn’t have changed the team from Widness and Toulouse!

Wrong. In the championship the timekeeper is appointed by the rfl.
What about knocking opposition players out with a swinging arm? Is that a new rule where the victim gets pinged for a knock on?

| Well it was a funny old game! I left the ground satisfied that I’d had a good afternoons entertainment, probably the best I’ve seen this year. But at the same time, disappointed that we came away with nothing from a game that we shaded in performance. York once again managed to see out a close game and take the points, something they seem to have done regularly this year and last. We could definitely learn some lessons from them in that respect.
The Evans incident was a long way from me, but baffling how a player can be knocked out from a seemingly ordinary collision without a penalty for a high tackle awarded. Unfortunately York scored from that bit of ‘good fortune’ but these decisions happen and especially in our division. Keyes will probably be disappointed with a couple of his 1st half conversion attempts that you would have to say were very kickable by his standards. Ryan trying too hard to get out his own goal and gifting York a try was also disappointing.
Cannot disagree with Kear in his assessment that the better team on the day lost, but that’s sport unfortunately. Play offs look a very tall order but I hope the players continue with that effort level for the final 5 matches so at the very least we finish the season positively.

The York player who ‘abused’ the system was in A+E last night with a suspected broken jaw and/or a broken nose.
Still waiting for clarification on timekeeping - it’s either done by an RFL official or a rep from BOTH clubs, so blowing the hooter early as alleged by some will have been a joint decision or an RFL decision.

| Wasn’t at the game (wife’s birthday) but managed to catch bits of the commentary on the radio. It sounded like to very evenly matched teams. In the end it came down to our inability to kick enough goals. York closed the game out and we didn’t, even if we were only the width of a post away from it.
There now seems to be a bit of a gap opening up between ourselves and the top 5. We should aim to win all our remaining games and just see where that leaves us. The dropped point last week was a blow but really it was the games against York and Sheffield that have cost us. I just hope Chalmers wasn’t gambling the club on a top 5 finish like Green did.
6th would be a very decent showing given we were the 2nd best team in L1 last year. However when you look at how York have gone and how consistent they have been you wonder if we could’ve done better.

| I think people just love looking for conspiracies and controversy even when there isn't any. It's also very poor form of John Kear to be making those sort of comments to the press when he can't prove his allegations. He just looks like a sore loser.
We outscored York 5 tries to 4 and still lost, something that should never happen in a game of RL. Couple that with the knock on in the last minute, the foot in touch when grounding the ball, and the intercept passes and the only people JK and the players should be disappointed with are themselves.
I still think it will come down to the wire between ourselves and York for fifth spot, but I can see us just missing out and finishing sixth. I'm fine with this as long as Chalmers didn't foolishly budget for us finishing in the top 5. That's my only anxiety and it will continue to be so until the funding distribution is evenly spread irrespective of the final league standings.

Irrelevant. For a Head Injury/concussion assessment, it all comes down to whether the player had symptoms which made the Dr/physio suspect concussion. Plenty of players have nose bleeds without needing a concussion assessment. Equally players need concussion assessment without any obvious head injury. One doesn't necessarily mean the other.

Has the allegation been made by anyone other than our resident gob$h!t3? Wouldn't be the first time he's made accusations other than for them to be completely false (Remember his Morgan Escare tweet) one day the boy will land himself in hot water.
I agree with Nothus about Kears comments. End of the day we lost it ourselves through awful missed conversions (again, whoever chose to swap Keyes for Lilley wants shooting) and schoolboy errors.
Focusing on those conspiracies makes him look like a bad loser. If they're true, go through the right channels to make a complaint. The two instances where he had every right to feel aggrieved (the complete ignoring of the rules by the ref to not sin-bin their man for a professional foul. And the blatent high shot "missed" by the TJ which resulted in Evans being KO'd he didn't bring up)
Frustrating but we only have ourselves to blame I'm afraid.

Yesterday there was the RFL timekeeper and the York timekeeper present.
What you describe in the opening paragraph is how the timekeeper's work in League One. In the championship, it is the sole responsibility of the RFL appointed timekeeper - not the York timekeeper as was the case yesterday.

Agree.
Here are the goal-kicking percentages for the season to date.
Minchella 73%
Lilley 75%
Keyes 77%
John Kear has repeatedly said throughout the season that his goalkicker needs to be at 85-90%.

What are these conspiracy theories? Because of all that happened yesterday was a timekeeping mistake which was picked up first by Damian Irvine in the commentary and then myself.
Never did either of us say there was a conspiracy theory so please don't jump on the bandwagon with that troll Bull Mania.

I've already replied with the timekeeping protocol for the Championship - it's controlled by the appointed RFL timekeeper - not the York representative as was the case yesterday.
This isn’t nitpicking. The game needs to uphold basic standards and playing the full 80 is one of them.
