Im getting to the point where is think we will be playing in last seasons kit again have a very small squad and have no sponsors. Oh a part RAB sponsoring 2 players.

Chalmers and his "this is happening at this time" statements never work do they? It's not hard to see why some people think he's full of it.

Its simple things that annoys people. We are going to miss the shirt sales from before Christmas. Then people wont bother buying em after Christmas. From what has been said ita the RFL fault as they dont have a sponsor. But what about all the other stuff. We could announce sponsors etc

there was one mentioned in the RLE.He just has to be announced as a Castleford player first as they apparently intend to sign him after having him on trial from London Broncos.
His name appears in the Garry Lo story on page 3 or 4 - near the front.
He may just arrive in the summer though - June is bustin out all over.

There's an easy way to find out if it really is the competition sponsors. Have any other Championship or Champ 1 sides revealed their kits yet or put them on sale? I ask the question genuinely as I can't be bothered checking. If they have though, that excuse can't be legit, or they'd be in the same boat. If no others are on sale either, then maybe there's something to it.

I think you may be being a bit unfair, so far as I know, all the first team have sponsors and last time I looked, there were only 3 or 4 of the U19s who didn't, even most of the U16s had been sponsored.

Can't we just release the jersey and get some "iron-on" sponsor blurbs later if we're waiting for that to be announced? I'd prefer a jersey without a sponsor blurb anyway.

First website I checked was Featherstone. Who are selling their new home shirt in the website shop. Complete with a picture of it and everything.

So either I'm calling bullsheet on the idea ours isn't out because of the Championship sponsor, or Featherstone are very special.

I believe League 1 is going to have a different sponsor to the Championship. I maybe wrong but i'm sure i read that Kingston press didn't want to sponsor League 1 anymore.

Sounds like there's a distinct lack of communication from all parties. What a professional game we have.

All I know is that if we had Barry Hearn running the RFL then all the sponsorship would be sorted out. In darts they recently invented the "Champions League of Darts" which only involves 8 players, and isn't even a ranking tournament, yet is sponsored by Unibet and broadcast on terrestrial by the Beeb. This is one more event in their calendar to add to other PDC events, using familiar sounding grandiose titles, namely the World Championship, UK Open, World Matchplay, World grand prix, Grand Slam of Darts, Players Championship, European Championship, Masters, Premier League, World Series, World Cup. All sponsored. Much of it televised.

So have any other League 1 clubs released their kits yet?

I'd be tempted to buy a home shirt for my two daughters for xmas if they're out in time, otherwise we wont probably buy until we're at one of the home games at the start of the season. You'd think the club would have done everything possible to get some good stuff to sell in the run up to xmas. Still time for a kit launch before xmas I guess?icon_razz.gifRAY:

I had a very quick scout of a few of the better run clubs earlier and couldn't find one. Although Doncaster's "Shop" page actually seems to link to the football team, so maybe I looked at the wrong ones.
