Well, I rate Chalmer's speed of action, that's the head coach sacked already. What will we do about pre-season? Sacked Sharp with the first friendly only months away? I am going to have to rethink my purchase of a season ticket.

On another thread Roger Daly says Chalmers is back from RLWC. Will we be told of signings from the trip in next few days?

Yes Chalmers was at training last night, apparently he looked pretty good at full back in touch and pass

What's going on with the kit? I was in the shop yesterday and it was barren. Loads of old stock just hanging around collecting dust. Didn't AC say we'd have it out in time for Christmas?

New kit release was supposedly delayed until new championship/championship one sponsor is announced. Not sure why they can’t release design for preorder with blank space for sponsor badge to go.

Maybe they've learned their lesson on that front after the away shirt ridiculousness last year, when the actual shirt was a different design to the one advertised for pre-order?

So which World Cup player are we getting then? Did he end up playing his third game this weekend? Is he through to the next round or has his team gone out?

After the Toovey visa fiasco last year, I bet that if there are any overseas players to come the club will wait until they have their visas confirmed.

I count our first team squad as 23 players at the moment so there must be a few more to come surely.

From what I saw of Layoun (Lebanon) or Amean (PNG), if we are in the market for a full back either of those would do nicely. I’d like Smith, Gibson and Oakes to be battling it out for a centre spot.

Good point about the visas. However it shouldn't take as long this time as the club is on the right lists with the Home Office and isn't applying to be allowed to appoint overseas staff. I suspect if other clubs start announcing signings from the WC we shouldn't be far behind if we're doing the same.

Another very good example of why keeping quiet until Visa’s are sorted is for the best.

As said by Bullseye, at least this time we only have to wait for the Visa itself and not for the club to be approved to hire foreign employees.

Come on guys, how can we still be having this discussion. The nationality of a player became irrelevant years ago when they brought in the federation trained quota.

No, the point was really about visas rather than national eligibility. Something which may be important again though, in a few years, unless current thinking in government can be changed for the better.

In terms of quotas it is.

The quotas are still iin place. Just that they aren't relent to us as we aren't going to get anywhere close to using full quota allowances.

Think original point was more about players qualifying for working visa, which is nothing ot do with RFL's quota rules and still an area where nationality is very relevant.
