I'm sure they're just saving the best 'til last. I'm sure it hasn't avoided Potter's attention how weak we are in that area.

Thats why the Bulls got a thrashing at Stains t'other week, he is very aware like all the other coachs and he won't be happy with how most of the Senior players have done in recent weeks!

Fat, idle, with a poor temperament. He might have been a natural SO 10 years ago.

As someone else pointed out, this appears to be a wind-up by Ratchford.
However, someone on the Hull(!) forum suggests that we are actually in talks with Ratchford.
This, of course, has little credibility, considering:
- Why on earth a Hull supporter would have information when no-one from Bradford or Salford seems to have heard about it?
- If Ratchford is considering switching to Bradford, I doubt he'd carry out a wind-up suggesting he'd be going to Huddersfield.
However, like Bulls4champs, I'd like to think we'd be interested if he were to become available [size=50unless we are signing Leon, Danny McGuire, Thomas Bosc...[/size

in his hullfc heyday he was one of the best SO's in league but, his 1st kr season apart, he's been in a pretty steady decline ever since and despite numerous repeat chances can't seem to stay out of trouble off the field. Really hope we steer clear tbh.

Think ratchford signed a longish salford deal earlier in year. however if he were to become available we should definitely be looking as he could be a long term partner for southernwood. Not sure If he'd be a great short term solution but long term it could give us a settled halves partnership for 5 years plus like leeds have enjoyed.

Not heard of him signing a new deal recently, but I believe his existing deal sees him contracted to the end of 2011.

| His contract (in May at least) was up to the end of this season but gave Salford a 1 year extension option. Not sure if they've taken the option up or not.

| Interesting rumour that came up on T&A forum earlier ( although considering most posts on there are absolute cobblers I'd treat it with a massive pinch of salt). sheriffe, reardon and menzies all leaving - that we all suspect - but added to that hall contract terminated with him going to cas (which has floated round before). add to that worrincy given a 1 year deal on reduced terms which has been rumoured for a while but new bit is that he has been called into office monday past and his new contract torn up and he's going to take legal action against us.
The only reason I even mention this one is because it could:-
1. Tie in with offiah putting a show reel of worrincys best bits up on youtube earlier in week. Why bother advertising your client if he's just signed a new deal?
2. Losing 2 senior 2nd rowers would make the Sibbit rumour make a lot more sense.
losing hall would give us an extra quota spot to play with, Only reason I could see for losing worrincy too (apart from him being crap) is if we are right up against salary cap and need his cap space unexpectedly.

agree with that. dont think sibbit would make regular 17 if all fit but as a backup player dont have problem with him. Just seems a strange use of salary cap given number of 2nd rowers we already have on books, and weaknesses in other areas of squad. Would make a lot more sense if either/both worrincy and hall were on there way out.

| I'd rather have Hall than Sibbit, but I'd rather have Sibbit and a free quota space.
Is anybody else finding these couple of weeks much more exciting than the entire season?

| What are peoples opinions on Greg McNally at the Giants. He is a young talented lad, who did extremely well in the championship when playing for Whitehaven.
With him moving to Huddersfield and their amount of quality halfbacks, i cant really see him getting a chance? So maybe he would be a good option. He is english too, and would come cheap i guess.

The club looked at McNally when Huddersfield signed him and decided he wasn't good enough. I believe Leeds also made the same decision, don't see what will have changed since then.

Precisely why you shouldn't read the T&A forum. ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

nope wasnt that idiot. realised ages ago he doesnt have a clue. was someone I havent seen before, digby I think. Just seemed interesting because if true it would make sense of sibbit signing. cant see point off adding another 2nd row to salary cap given number we already have.

I bloody well hope not. Rather stick with Sykes and Addy in the halves that sign that @rse.

| Let's not ruin this year recruitment by signing wasters like Paul Cooke. I don't think he is the sort of player Mick Potter will be looking for.

was adecent SH. too injury prone to my mind and not getting any younger these days. If we really cant do any better wouldnt like to see him on anything more than a 1 yr deal, purely as a stop gap.
