| Excellent news. That will weaken Quins too.
Who would have thought it though eh? The player I identified as being "worse than mince" is the first one on his bike after just half a season.
How odd.......

| playing herbert at 13 ATM is stupid because he is small and lacks strength....everything you dont want from your most attacking forward.
in a few seaspns i see your point that her is a tacklng mchine but too small to play there ths year.
nexy year id leave him at 6 withjeffries at 7 or seymour (if we sign him) at7.
he needs to be with a srong , controlling half partner to play to his potential . ie when at canberra he had Terry capmese (arguabley one of the best players in the world) along side him .

| Blimey when did Kylie Briggs morph into Wally Lewis. All this teeth gnashing is a bit strange he isn't a world beater.

Considering that you have previously stated that Kearney is no good, I think we can safely disregard your opinions.

| Well in my OPINION i believe Herbert would be quite a useful 13, i wouldnt say Addy is much smaller or has more strength but he seemed to manage in that role earlier in the season - then pushing kearney up to 6 and having Royston back would give us a bit more creativity around the park
Im just voicing my OPINION so dont be going and shooting me down

| Maybe Herbert could be utilised working on the turn-styles? there's no more loose change to drop..
Seriously, i don't see him as a 13, average Stand Off yes.

| Attacking wise Briggs has shown some nice touches. But his defence has left a lot to be desired. Don't think us fans appreciate the step up from part-time Championship to SL.
I think it's a superb move has palying in the u20's for 3 weeks, then SL one week wouldn't have helped him develop IMO. At Quins he will hopefully get up to speed and improve as a player. Hopefully put on a bit of timber. I'd like to see him next year for us after he's got his first SL season under his belt

| Herbert is taller than Sinfield and less that 10kg lighter than Sinfield. Really not built for loose forward I see.

As I have said before, Royston is doing just fine.
(and before the usual suspects come on here banging on about HB being a harder position to play in, why then is Briggs somehow free of criticism yet it is open season on Herbert who, of a similar age, has travelled half-way round the world to play for us? He does not appear to be getting any time to adapt.)

I believe Briggs was seen as a future prospect and we got him this season to stop another SL club doing the same, hence why he was given a longer deal !!
As for Herbert he still has the rest of the season to shine which i believe he will, i think he has the quality to make it in SL and for the Bulls, but with a few games under his belt and a gelled HB combination it will be a good end to the season as long as the pack can continue to work hard.

| like I said last night, personally I'd give him more gametime here as I'm not convinced with herbert. But If he isnt going to get gametime with us, he's better off playing at SL level than at u20s and at least any mistakes he makes (and hopefully learns from) will be at someone elses expense.

| Well the teams hes possibly got if picked is Wakey, HKR, Salford, Wigan and Warrington. So he has arguably 2 of the worst defensive sides in super league there. So hopefully he turns on the style against them and show he is good enough for super league

First of all, as has been stated elsewhere on this thread, there is only ten months between them so all this "future prospect" stuff is a load of toilet. He was bought to fill a vital role and he hasn't and by god we needed some quality in the halves. The academy, U16's and U20's are where the future prospect lie.
As for your second point. What other SL club exactly. As often gets pointed out on here he joined us late and had little or no pre season. Therefore this suggests that we did not have to act that fast now doesn't it?

10 months between who? herbert and briggs. If so then your ignoring the fact that herbert had 23 first grade NRL games under his belt so isnt having to step up a grade the way briggs is ( if anything you could ague herbert is stepping down a level which makes some of his performances all the more disapointing).
Neither of them is perfect but they both have good aspects to there game. Both were seen somewhat as gambles when signed, a category that quite a few of this years recruits fall into, and as such you cant expect every gamble to come off. Think its too early to say with any certainty about either of them TBH.

what relevence has their ages got to do with there respective playing experience? what exactly did I make up in that post. those are basic facts about what level each has played at that you choose to ignore because it doesnt fit your argument. typical eddie.
