What's a little frostbite to a kid? They're resilient little gits and, given time, can learn to hold a greggs pasty without a thumb.

We used to stand at the back and at the top of the curved end, near to the Rooley Avenue floodlight closest to the stand. Plenty of crowd free space just behind you for when they inevitably get bored and want to run around. You need a rota system for keeping one eye on them and rescuing them from half way up the grassy banking. I haven't stood there for a while but one of the attractions apart from the space was other people with kids had identified it and so there were other little uns around for them to make friends with.

You can place a child on a crash barrier, have someone in front, one behind clinging on for dear life and a steward will still ask you to put the kid back down on the floor. I suspect if you nailed the kid to it health and safety would still get in the way.

Don't do what my dad did with me and let them play on the crash barriers.

We are in the stand. 5yr old (who watches the game - mostly) and 18/12. The seats are the only way to guarantee that he can see. The only other tip I have is - bring plenty of food & drink for the kids. They don't come to 8pm fri games but other than that they are there!

Yep - food and drink is a good tip. As well as a colouring book and pencils.

Mine are 5 & 3 and this will be season #3 - the stand is well worth the extra money. (Plus you can line the beers up under your seat!)

Mine are 4 and 2 and have decided against it for the moment - when the eldest starts to show an interest on the TV I'll consider bringing her along.

If we still had the "razamatazz" of yesteryear I'd probably have brought them both by now. There was plenty to see and do before and during the game that would have kept them entertained.

have four kids aged 8 under, three of them g and the smallest at 18m will probably go next year aswell. The only tips I would give are :

- sit in the red seats in the stand
- as stated earlier, take crisps, drinks etc
- grandparents are a god send, if not only when one needs the loo, the kids that is. I usually get my mum to take them and i keep watching the game

Our 4 year old gets chocolate buttons when the Bulls score, encourages him to really get behind the team.

Nah - as soon as they had had their first jabs (@ 2 months) mine were wrapped up and attewnded their first matches (Mar & Jun)

Took my children and grandsons as soon as possible they all love it.

My youngest grandson's first words were Mummy, Daddy, Grandad and Bradford Bulls (never stops saying it). He smiles and claps all the time (whoever scores). Both love the whole experience.

We sit in the stands and take them a drink and something to nibble at half time when the games on the just enjoy the game.

Only negative we had was the first time they went getting used to the noise, particularly the sudden cheering when someone scored by the end of the game they were joining in.

they lock him in a little glass booth at top of tetleys stand and tell him he's broadcasting to the nation.
