Firstly big thanks for the updates as the event happened to bullinenemyland. But the grand announcement is what I'd call "meh".

This interim management team are seemingly just to extricate AC from proceedings smoothly (ish). We are no nearer knowing what the longterm investment plans are for Bradford (if any) and so the tales of intrigue will carry on. This is all a preface to something else surely.

I think we'll be OK. We have a 3 month head start on recruitment compared to 2017 and don't have to make up 12 points just to get to zero. Also we have a coach who knows the league and is a specialist on survival.

Don't get me wrong, we'll get some absolute tonkings from the better championship teams like Leigh, Fev etc but I think we'll survive.

As others have said Im really not going to worry anymore about the off field stuff. I'll still go, and enjoy the rugby. I'm happy we're not in admin, having another Christmas ruined with uncertainty and starting the season on -12 and we're paying creditors what they owe. Also we're not seeing our brightest young talents leave for nothing. But I just don't have the enthusiasm to care about the off field stuff as we've heard it all before.

Well, expect some signings this week - the ooc players who have been hanging around on a promise will start to sign I would think.
I would hope they could get at least one new signing this week.

We need to keep at least one of Milnes/Keyes - they seem to be on offer/in demand elsewhere. We do have a couple of good halves in the academy but I'm not sure they're ready. They may have to be.

The RFL decision on the 2 players who have requested contract termination for breach - needs to be soon. Probably next week. Need to know one way or other - for the players & the club. Allows planning.

Better still could they yet have a change of heart and elect to stay voluntarily? I would really love that to happen but I respect their reasons for trying to get away from the funnyfarm.

Of our 13 contracted players, we only know of two who are trying to leave. The funnyfarm is obviously one reason. And that's enough for some people, the uncertainty every month around pay, promises broken etc. I know I couldn't live like that. But I would need to have something else lined up - better prospects (pay & conditions) either now or in the future.

The two who've asked to leave we definitely bloody need.. Really hope they stay but I fear one doesn't have the emotional attachment to the club though I hope the fact we stood by him for months stands us in good stead.

As for the other, if he goes my girls will ditch their season tickets.......

I would assume the club would still let them go, for a small fee. Too disruptive otherwise if they are fully intent on leaving. The role of the agent is important too.

GFB has been fairly consistent that Fax have a contract offer on the table for Keyes for about 2 months. He just went cryptic when people pointed out he was under contract.

Not getting into childish banter. Followed the Bulls/Northern for 49 years. Played at junior and second team for the club early 70's so certainly not fair weather supporter. The problem is the club is not the club it was. It is playing out of the city and it it will not have the funding to challenge the teams in the division it is in. That is my thoughts on what is a very sad situation so to say i am a glory supporter is wide of the mark.

I'm a bit more optimistic. I look at it as the first team are playing out of the city. The academy, reserves & scholars will still be playing in Bradford - probably Dudley Hill again but I think we'll be told eventually. Training still at Tong. Foundation still at Odsal. They just need to work out where to put the shop/ticket office. That needs to stay in Bradford as well.
Regarding the first team, I think we'll have a similar model to Leigh & Fev last year, relatively thin squad to start, if more funds become available then it will be added to.

So the WOOD conspiracy theorists were correct then.As for Keyes to Halifax,I would have thought a SL club would be in for him as good halves are scarce even in SL/NRL,so for me I would be shocked if he ended up there,he's better than that imo.If Keyes is one who's the other?
It's a bloody long way back for the club from here but where there's life there's hope.

My take on the takeover is pretty much meh

New owners that lack financial clout. Yep seen that before

Team decimated and having to rebuild. Been there as well

No administration and bills getting paid. Ooh that’s new

But my biggest concern is that I don’t really care. The years of turmoil have left me emotionally jaded and now it appears I have reached the point where I’m past caring
