| I had a season ticket for about half the 80s and about half the 90's. I didn't buy one for the first time in 1997 and immediately started taking credit for winning the league.
Thirteen years later I've finally disabused myself of the idea that my ticket buying habits have anything to do with team performances.
Ticket ordered. Nice one people.

When you buy your ticket via the website, an option comes up towards the end to refer a friend (has to not have been a season ticket holder for at least 3 years).

how does it work in conjunction with pledge? do they automatically correlate your pledges with your details when you buy tickets via website?

I would assume so, but the ordering on the website is exactly the same as it has been in previous years. I would guess when they do the admin bit in the ticket office though, they'll check the details against the pledge list and cross you off, so they don't bother contacting you.
I would hope so anyway, as it would look stupid if they now phoned me to ask for my money from the pledge, only for me to tell them I've already done it.

thats the bit that concerns me. Dont want to be in situation where I buy 2 tickets and then club insists I owe for a couple more for my 2 pledges. Might wait until club makes process a bit clearer before paying online or just pop upto ticket office and pay in person next week.

I wouldn't worry about it. I pledged for 2 tickets, I've bought 2 tickets. If they were to call me now demanding I buy two more, I'll tell them exactly where they can go. Can't see it happening though.

just went through first few pages of ticket website. first page is talking about 2009 season tickets and then it throws up an error message about the pricing on the page where you submit the order. At that point I aborted without submitted and decided to ring/go in person. plus couldnt see anywhere to put teamcard details either?

Don't need it surely, as the points don't carry over. When I ordered my tickets earlier though, it asked for membership number when I ticked the box for "current season ticket holder", which would cover that.

There is that.
I wouldn't have used em on that anyway. The season ticket is my Christmas box and I ain't paying a penny of it. I'm gonna use my points to redeem against a Christmas present for someone else and save myself some brass

problem with that is points on teamcard dont rollover to next year. they get cancelled if not used by october 31st. So its either buy something from what stock shop has left, and new shirts arent available til weekend before xmas, or use the points on season ticket.

Aye I know. I'm going to wait until the end of this month then pop up to the shop and use them. If there's nothing really worth it, I'll find something that's not bad. No point me spending them on season ticket as it wouldn't be any benefit to me, and it's me who's incredibly skint

I'm only messing although I recommended Mr Lane, Mr Dobson, Mr Hurrell, Mr Carney, Mr Bentley and Mr Smith so that should be £120 to me which I'll give back to the club in another two pledge's.
That was the whole point in me making them pledges which I didn't need to, I want to help the club the best way possible.
I've already got takers for the Salford, Hull FC and Hull KR games.

| I know someone wrote on another post the other day asking what if these pledges dont turn into people actually buying and there was a response along the lines of legal binding !!
HOWEVER ,
( and please dont get me wrong i dont want to put a downer on the whole pledge thing as i think the bulls have done great introducing this offer)
My friend goes to bradford uni and the information he gave me tonight was that the people selling the pledges as such , were just asking people to write there names down even if they never intended to purchase a season ticket just so that others were able to buy theres for the reduced rate !!
They only took a name and email address and they never signed anything, hopefully the majority of the people that did pledge were true supporters wanting to indeed buy a ticket, my only concern is that if this was the selling structure to the whole bingley music festival and bulls on the road bus then we may find we might actually be quite abit shorter than we think...

| I worry, but I'm an ultimate sceptic.
You may or may have not seen there's a troll on the VT saying him and his mates have done loads of fake pledges. I'm aware the Bulls are saying there's a system in place, can this system be entirely watertight?

I hope this isn't true, but i can't see there being thousands.
Plus when you ad in the buyers who didn't pledge we'll be fine imo.
We'll just have to wait and see how it pans out.

They need a minimum of 10,000 pledges.
Say the Troll is not bluffing, and there are other equally sad ones, even if they equalled to 1,000 pledges (I doubt it) then we'd be about 400 short. I'm sure there'll be at least 400 people who will buy but didn't pledge, just because of the great value.
I'm sure the club has plans for scenarios such as this, I bet they've gone through it all even more than all of us have!
