Little bit OT but just read on on Manchester Evening News website that Salford are looking to sign Stephen Wild from Huddersfield. Would have been ideal to replace Mike Worrincy.

Would like to see Southenwood get more of a run in the team. Don't see why he couldn't run at 6 partnered with Orford at 7

Stephen Wild to Salford is a done deal from what i've been told, not that we need back rowers anyway. Our backline is more of a concern to me.

He is one of the worst defensive wingers in the entire league. He needs a massive amount of improvement in that area before he should be playing for any team wanting to win things.

An absolute waste of a shirt. Sure, he looks good on that first drive when he comes on, but after that he is an absolute liability. Just ask the wigan fans

I'm more than a little worried about where the players we need will come from. I reckon Potter will be working with a similar squad to this years, hopefully with a few of the dead wood moved on.

I reckon Feka might be a reasonable signing if he's on a fairly average contract. We do need an impact Prop, but he is a bit of a weak link in defence when he tires. The biggest task facing Potter is improving our backline. I just can't see where we'll source the players from to get it up to top 5 standard.

Ainscough might not be the best defender, but he scores tries, something our wingers dont do enough of.

And concedes just as many. He may be decent in attack (and I agree, he's better than Sheriffe & Reardon) but it's just not worth having someone so bad defensively in the side. It's not just him messing things up, it's other players having to cover for him and not being where they normally would.

Wigan obviously agree if Karl Pryce gets in before him and they're constantly farming Ainscough on loan. I would expect they're constantly trying to work on his defence and until he sorts it, you won't see him as a Wigan regular.
