| Quote ="bobsmyuncle"Loosing to SL's top team on their midden in the final minutes is a significant step forward in our ability to compete.
Great defensive performance overall and oodles of passion.
Sure there were a few individual mistakes from our guys as there was some enforced ones from them.
Gutted we lost, but we put up a fight and that's what we expect from a Bulls team.'"
Sums up my thoughts as well. Really proud of the players today, 110% effort from beginning to the end.
We should have won really, turning point for me was when Addy was going to the line, after we went the length of the field, and the Wigan player (Charnley I think) ripped the ball out. Ball went back and Roby still gave a knock on against us.
Bateman was awesome again, some great defence 1 on 1.
It was refreshing to see us bust through the line 3 or 4 times today. Attacking play was miles better than against Warrington, Gale played really well (excluding the kick out on the full).
If you were there tonight, I was the one that brought his Wigan fan buddy to watch the game. I made him sit in the middle of the Bulls fans, looked like a page from where's Wally!

| Bradford were twice as good as Cas last week.
Cas won ok but it was hardly a steller performance from them.
Tonight Bradford were the best team for 60 mins.
Two mistakes, one from Gale kicking out on the full and a forward pass from Diskin that even the ref could see, they gave Wigan the opportunity to win the game.
Possibly also Foster going for goal at 18-14. He kicked it for 20-14 but it was never going to be enough and it wasn't. It should have been kicked to touch then run a set of six.
Tough on Bradford and a get out of jail win for Wigan.

| I didn't see the game but would expect far more positives than appear on this thread. Definitely hope for the future if you can keep that up.

| Gotta agree with TigerTot there... No offence, but some on here need a serious reality check. Yes we lost again last night, we were in a commanding lead and ending up with nothing.
BUT...
We went to the DW, on the back of a series of losses and most saying the season is over. Utterly shattered confidence coming up against the league leaders that regularly destroy teams and we turned up with a choice of 18 fit players and a late withdrawal of Lulia.
We outplayed them for 60mins but in the end it wasn't enough but think about the effort it took to even get into the winning position especially since we conceding the first try about 2mins in.
Seriously guys we had a split last week over people saying we showed nothing against warrington, the lads go ahead and give absolutely everything against Wigan and still we bemoan an individual error. Obviously everyone has the right to an opinion but I think we need to look at the bigger picture sometimes.

| I think it says a lot about the refereeing when both sets of fans come out of the stadium saying he was awful. I don't think he had any real impact on the result but he missed SO much.
A Wigan fan on the way out said we were getting away with being offside and forward passes all night. I can't imagine that they weren't offside at any point during the match.
If you think back to Roby's last matches with us he's killed the game early with penalties for one side so I guess it was a better performance in that respect.

Sums it up for me too FA.
For the most part it was a good performance with the wrong result, with what is it now, eight unavailable from a squad which was thin enough to start with, is an effort to put some pride back into the club, and let's be fair the eight was unlikely even if we'd won.
Special mentions for Sam Wood who didn't look out of place with a good run and unselfish pass for Platty's try, Jamie Foster who looked more assured at full back than last weekend, John Bateman who seems to be blossoming now and Galey who looked sharp. Also the front row with Nas, Scrutes and Sidlow to the fore and the whole team which tackled itself to a standstill in the second half.
If, bloody only......

All spot on, but I shouldn't bother. Easier way is to sling his ass in your "Foe" filter. He's the only one in mine currently, as it takes some doing to be perceived as irredeemably pointless, but I've no time to waste on some numbskulled clot who chooses to make his RAB board debut with such a witless, [inul points[/i, poor attempt at a troll, that would shame the average chimp.
