| Mark Lawn and Julian Rhodes have said numerous times they haven't got any money left?!
So what I want to know were is this money coming from?!
Unless they've got a buyer for City?!
Like I say you never know relations might improve with the two clubs if this was too happen.

| The devil will be in the detail. Key questions will include:
1 - Does this mean finally it is exit Odsal stage left and to VP permanently? With the RFL selling the lease back to the council for redevelopment? Seems a bit inconceivable that BCFC would buy the club and noit move it to VP?
2 - Is it just Bradford City, or are others such as Mr Parkin involved? That was all mooted before, with this provoiding a means of freeing up the Odsal site for redevelopment. Is this where the money is coming from?
3 - Who will they put in to run the club? Might we see Caisley, Noble etc. al in after all? Are they involved in this?
I wrote a bit of fictional speculation on here several weeks ago. I wonder how close, or otherwise, that will turn out?
The scant details so far suggest the club and its SL status can be saved. On the face of it, that sounds like excellent news. Lets now see more about what is involved, so we can better assess the implications.

No, its not April 1st
Just when you thought it couldn't get any more bizarre eh?
Isn't this the same Bradford City that almost went into Administration themselves at the end of last season? And actually have been in Administration more than once in recent years? It does beg the question of where the money is coming from - suggesting some form of fresh investment (Parkin?) or a quick sell-on to a third party (Caisley?)
It would seem unthinkable for City to pump £3million into the Bulls and then have the ongoing costs associated with Odsal. So one must surely assume they are thinking of a single stadium - and presumably that would mean Valley Parade (which, personally. I don't mind)
We await more information with bated breath ![USTUPID icon_stupid.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_stupid.gif)

| I guess like must Bulls fans VP isn't my favourite ground - but as a price to be paid for continuing to exist - I can live with it.
Certainly from a pure economic basis there is some sense in effectively doubling the use of an expensive asset even if some Bulls fans choose not to make the journey to VP.
Just wonder where the money is coming from as City themselves seem to live on a hand to mouth basis and have been flirting with relegation?
Still as the pc version of the saying goes if you are a financially compromised your options are restricted and if some deal isn't stuck quickly the players and staff will all be gone.

BCFC look like interim bidders and a front for someone else.
I just wonder who it could be?
Are there many solicitors around who also represent
players in the game?
Just wondered like.

| need to know more details but a couple of things spring to mind.
1. If we move to VP then we have to pay part of odsal settlement back to council (1.9mil I think), unless council waive it which could explain some comments from councillor Ward over last few weeks.
2. What level would season tickets be set at? VP is all seater so all fans that currently get ground admission are effectively going to be forced to upgrade to seated prices and I suspect eveon those will be higher than the pre-pledge family stand prices at odsal. So would expect a big dropoff in seaon ticket sales, probably down to 3kish level.
3. How would Rugby side be funded? Given one star signing for city would fund entire SL salary cap for a year, could see a potential conflict of interest issue.
on positive side playing at VP would remove ongoing problem of upgrading odsal and tick all stadium checkboxes. Assuming we stay in SL this license period would probably be guaranteed a license for 2014-2016 period too.

Any move to VP is totally out of the question in my book.

I don't want to see the club fold but there must be a better option than VP. If the club goes there it will see a massive drop in attendances which is the total opposite of what is needed.

Bulls at VP.
Odsal sold off for development
Money from someone like Steve Parkin, coming out of the Odsal redevelopment
Caisley in charge of the rugby side of the business
Noble head coach
Tasker GM
That would be my prognosis, in the absence of further information.
Can't see City leaving VP. The collective apoplexy from their fans would be deafening.

| just did some back of envelop calculations. Assuming rugby ticket price is set same as citys (£20) and season tickets are discounted at same rate for rugby as football (65%) and take into account different number of games (13v23) then we'd probably be looking at £170 ish which is pretty much what I suspect we'd have been going upto for ground admission at odsal next year. Lot of assumptions in there I know but a bit more encouraging than £260 figure thats been floating around on social media sites.
