Good idea, we've all had very cheap season tickets, this shouldn't be too much to ask.

Not unless a way can be found of not handing over £1 in every £6 to the VATman, I suggest?

| Banks consider lots of variables when considering borrowing amounts. Did Mr Hood and Co not do their due diligence on the affect the lease deal would have on borrowing!!!
We are in a pitiful state!!

| Gobsmacked at the way this has come out, supposedly 2 weeks from closure? After all we have been led to believe by the club over the past few years at fora.
Adey's been pretty much a lone voice with the concerns about our cashflow but from club press releases we've never been rich but have been surviving. Now it suddenly appears we've been clinging on with our fingernails.

My guess is that the bank didn't know we owed huge sums to the RFL. When the deal was done they expected a big cash injection and when it didn't arrive they dropped the overdraft. This smacks of a bank who feel they've been misled.

Surely its still better than what we'd have otherwise? Even with the deduction. I hope the club are currently cold calling every medium to large company in Bradford asking for donations in return for free tickets/free advertising etc. Anyone called Ken this morning?
shocking state of affairs.
BTW, on the pledge form online there are multiple options for the amount you want to pledge, starting with "up to £50" so its not a blanket £100, just whatever you can afford.

| Personally I'd be happy to put some money in, and possibly more than £100 if I were getting shares in return.
I fear the deadline is too close to raise what the club are saying they need. It's been sprung on us too quickly and there are heaps of unanswered questions.

| This is some what like putting lifeboats on the now rusting Titanic at the bottom of the sea! I mean it would have been bad enough coming out and saying we need £1m by the end of the season, but in less than 2 weeks come on! I get the feeling this would be like sitting in the garden throwing £5 notes on a fire!

make it a minmum of £20 but suggest to pay what want over that as a donation. If it might be our last home game it really doesn't matter if the idea dosn't work, got to take a shot. And I suspect people will prefer to spend more to watch a game than seemingly throw it to the wind, at least you get a game to watch for your cash.

| Maybe we should look at it as paying a normal season ticket price with the extra £100.00. We had one season of cheap tickets, did'nt work so there asking for what would be about the right price

That needs to be the route. Donations cannot be compulsory, though, so they would have to rely on very strong moral/peer pressure instead. And, for heaven's sake, make sure the mechanism was cleared by a competent VAT advisor first!

| The club has to be seen to be doing something, and at short notice (I'm guessing) the "Quest for survival" pledge scheme is probably the best idea. But, speaking for myself (3 memberships) I cannot justify pledging the required £300 without some kind of future plan. I'm sure others will have more to pledge too. I really feel for you guys who stumped up for the 5yr plans.
I can't really put into words how I feel right now

That's exactly what I was thinking. If we managed that, even after losing 1/6th to tax it will still be around £330k. Surely the club can manage to scrape the rest from sponsors etc. Also I'd be happy to buy a shirt (I havent bought a one this season as I got one last year) so thats an extra few quid. I would just like to get something for my money rather than just sending a donation.

He also defended the board in the face of all reason. This board should have gone 2-3 years ago when it couldn't afford to sack its own coach or stand behind its own contracts. I argued then that it should have approached the shareholding for support and in the absence of it, should step down. Only recently we have heard triumphant references to 'Sir Peter' etc. It's been a disaster and an obvious one.
This is not something that has happened overnight. It has been years of mismanagement and a shareholding too weak to do anything about it. This was inevitable and some of us said so.

The simple fact today is that Hood is a proven liar with a lot of explaining to do.

| Reminds me so much of the situation at akefield when Ted Richardson was in the press begging for money. Turns out the best thing that ever happened to us was not paying up and us going in to administration and starting again. Wish you guys all the best but if I was in your postion i'd be keeping my £100 firmly in my pocket. You've obviously been fed the same kind of BS we were, how beliveable is the claim that all will be ok after this time? Probably not at all and maybe its time for some new blood. Good luck, hope it works out.

| makes you wonder what Whitehead thinks after signing up. He could be forgiven for thinking he's been taken for a ride, like the rest of us. As has been said, this hasn't happen overnight yet we're being asked to solve it in a fortnight.
As for putting some money in, I think the club would get more if they could be more open and guarantee that we're not just postponing the inevitable. I've lost faith in Hood and Co and feel reluctant to send good money after bad.
Again I think that a share issue is the way to go. That way potential investors get something in return and the club doesn't remain in the hands of a few people, who, lets be honest, haven't really covered themselves in glory.
