So if Fev qualify, Leeds have the ability to manipulate the system.

They can pick and choose when to release their players to play for Fev and when not. What an utter farce!

Only really Jordan Baldwinson that it applies to in that way.

Looking at the stats of Leeds players that have played for Fev this season and comparing to those rules.

Jordan Baldwinson could play for either side, freedom of movement. (19 games for Fev)
Mitch Achurch, Ash Handley & Jordan Lilley could declare for one or the other (3 games each for Fev)
Luke Briscoe would need one more game from the last two and he could declare for one or the other. (2 games for Fev)
Ashton Golding and Anthony Mullaly would have to play both of Fev's remaining games in order to declare for one or t'other (1 games each for Fev)

So realistically, only Baldwinson and maybe Briscoe, Golding or Mullally would be playing for Fev, and only Baldwinson would be able to play for Leeds too if he did. I'd say highly unlikely Leeds would want Golding or Mullally to be unavailable in case of injuries to first teamers, so probably just Baldwinson and Briscoe (if Briscoe plays another game).

Is all of this based on current standings? Because Leeds play Hull KR at the weekend and, going on recent form, will probably overtake them into 9th or 10th. Pretty sure that will change everything you've posted above.

To be fair i think we've performed pretty well last 2 weeks. OK we've been playing far inferior opposition to Fax & Batley, but we've scored plenty of tries. We're playing decent expansive rugby. Moss and Chisholm have been a joy to watch.

It would be very "Bulls" to claw themselves back into a position to make the top four, only to blow it.

I can see it now: Bulls will be leading comfortably with ten mins to go, concede three soft tries so it's all square and they Fev will get a drop goal. The Bulls will then miss a penalty with the final kick of the game....
