Yes, but obviously in order to please people with weird aliases on random internet sites, he should ensure that all such talks are both started and completed by noon on 1st September at latest so that he can personally come on the forum and announce them all. If he can't even do that then he surely deserves all he gets.

if its a front row then I expect it will be Dowes. cant help hoping that its Fielden mind. Talk of him going to hull/staying at wigan seems to have gone a bit quiet so I cant help wondering if we've put a bid in with all talk at forum about homegrown players. Could explain delay re Dowes too. Hull waiting to see if they've secured Fielden or whether they need to increase their offer to Dowes to keep him.

can't help but think both Dowes and Wheeldon are being kept hanging on by their current clubs until Fielden and Mason respectively make their minds up where they are going. So if we announce either of Dowes/Wheeldon then I'd expect a corresponding announcement from hull fc/hull kr

Pretty sure that the anouncement of Fielden or Mason (which would be hard with no quota spot, maybe hall gone?) would drag more pledges than Ewan 'Mr. Average' Dowes.

from connors comments I'm pretty certain it will be Dowes. not a spectacular signing but a solid hardworking prop who'll take some off workload off lynch/scruton, and fill a gap for a year or two while our youngsters develop imo.

It's Dowes. Connors twitter is basically pointing right at Dowes. Plus he's the only frontrower who the media have talked about unlike fielden and mason. anyway he is solid backup i guess to Lynch and scrutes. Not like he'd be starting.

I agree, and he'll be used to Potter's methods, tactics, techniques etc. which can only be good.

LMS hasn't continued to progress recently, but i'd still say he's better than Hargreaves. But as has been pointed out, Bryn will be alot cheaper, he will do a solid job and is still young. Our first four props look good next season. Anyone think we could still sign Dowes too though??
