just a quick note for those complaining club werent making use of their database of existing season ticket holders who hadnt pledged. My partner got a letter urging her to pledge today and making clear that being an existing season ticket holder for 2010 didnt mean she had automatically pledged. Was redundant in this case as I've already pledged for both of us online but because of way you fill in details on pledge form the club only know the name of the main pledge and not any extra ones, presumably until they contact you for payment at which time they will get the details for the extra pledges.
Seems fairly sensible of club, leaving it till last week before contacting existing season ticket holder they have no record of receiving a pledge from. This way they've given a reasonable amount of time for existing people to pledge and minimised the size and cost off the mailing.

I also received this letter today but am slightly concerned as I pledged and received an acknowlegement
three weeks ago.

There is a comment at the bottom of the letter that the it had to be produced before a cut-off point
and therefore it may have been sent before recent pledges had been registered or my pledge could
have been sent under another name. As neither of these apply to me i'm slightly worried that i've
been lost in the system.

I'll ring the office tomorrow to make sure.

Not quite. You still retain a bit of credibility. Finishing 3rd is a reasonable effort out of 14 teams. Finishing 10th and missing out on the playoffs for a second year running, well thats just embarrasing aint it? Hence the reason why this thread exists, slaps desperation as nobody would want to pay £180-£200 to watch the bulls next season.

Of course they would. Several thousand of us. Same as several thousand of you guys did to watch you lot not that long ago when it was your turn to be total and utter shìte, ye of short or selective memory.

This is a way of attracting/attracting back several thousand more at short order, and has been near-universally praised as an initiative across the game. They can't all be wrong.

In Bulls' 2001 championship winning season you got 12,315
The same season Leeds finished 5th and still got more 12,881



Pledge = desperate.

I think its a clever idea, don't get me wrong, it is smart marketing to get the fans back. But selling season tickets for £60 is a form of desperation.

I'm not backing up RN's trolling attempt but I bet your Chairman would have rather had our way of winning SFA than yours! For example,75 coaches left from Headingley for Wembley at £40 a seat with no concessions (which is disgraceful BTW). Despite not winning the CC it still brought in a tidy sum!

If they are as bad as you claim, then we should do the decent thing and allow them a bigger share of our much larger gate receipts. We are a generous and giving society here in the Southstand after all!

He's being very selective. He chose a season when we were at Valley Parade for one, when numerous fans stayed away due to that fact.

There are other seasons with bigger averages than that. But hey, why would we need to use accurate figures during trolling attempts?
