| I would be surprised if Blackmore is fit so Tindall on wing I think.

| If Widnes beat London and we lose today we suddenly look very vulnerable with two tricky away games at London and Sheffield.
However a win today and there is a chance we could secure 3rd without a showdown at Sheffield if other results went our way.
Be interesting to see how the players react to the pressure today, I'm feeling a little nervous for them!!

| Yep, massive game today. Fax with a great win over Toulouse still gives them a chance of finishing above us with an easier run in. Even York could still finish above us if they win all their fixtures and we lose ours. We really cannot afford to slip up today. Hope the players are fully focused and we come out firing.

| Absolute must win game today. We have to start like a house on fire from the first minute. The matchup between us and the Knights is 50/50. We've won 5, they've won 5. Historically we are very evenly matched. We owe them one after the debacle at their place earlier in the season.

| Once again we fail to perform when it really matters. Last tackle options were awful, we missed Gaskell badly. I don't know what's been wrong with Appo over last couple of games, he seems to be doing everything half heartedly. Maybe he's on the move. Only plus was Doro today.

| Well we’ve made it very hard for ourselves now, with two very tough away fixtures to come. Both sides above us, so we could either be 3rd in a couple of weeks time or we could be out the play offs, season over. Momentum has gone, so it will take an almighty effort to keep the season alive now.
Lacked creativity, lacked momentum not helped by a very slow play the ball throughout. With 3 or 4 starting players missing we look very ordinary. Gaskell was clearly a big loss and moving our best fullback to halfback to cover that loss wasn’t a successful tactical decision. York last play options were better than ours and they stepped it up in the 2nd half with some clever plays.
Desperately need the likes of Rogers, Gaskell and Blackmore back for London.

| Only heard it via Mick's commentary but it sounded like a really poor effort.
Complete inability to respect possession and no creativity going forward.
Was there any point in that second half when it looked like we might actually score?

| Listened on radio but sounded like we could have still been playing now and still not scored. Errors proving costly yet again.
Think Segeyaro loss is proving costly. Next week's game could be massive as we could fall out of the play-offs all together going into the final round.

| Only positive I can find is our destiny is completely within our own hands, we are not hoping results go our way. Unfortunately that means we have some very tough matches ahead, but if we cannot get the wins then there is little point being in the 6 anyway.

| Going into this with only 3 props, a new halfback combo, a makeshift fullback and missing one of our best ball carriers (Blackmore) meant we were going to struggle.

We had props available that’s the annoying thing I can’t believe 3 props was signed off

| Presumably Matongo was left out for a good reason.
We really miss Segeyaro as mentioned above. I like Jowitt but he's very raw. York's dummy half was much better.

| You were ahead as Bongser left work but, with the new barmaid being somewhat distracting (couple of big fowards!) only saw the result on the way home. Rooting for you, though it's not a good run in.

| The last 20 mins we're a little strange for me. We started letting them up quickly at the PTB whilst they kept holding down as both sides had done all game so they started making yards, at the same time we went into full on one up rugby mode.
Over all we didn't deserve to lose and certainly that ironic last try flattered them 'Man of the match... Eribe Doro!' just as he misses a tackle on the line...
And to join in the Appo debate, he's either playing with an injury or he's leaving. Talk about blunted. Will probably come back to haunt us next year at Swinton along with Patton.

| The York try where they kicked early in the tackle count behind Arundal and Tindall to score was really well worked. The two kicks into the in-goal to trap DFJ were good too. Our last tackle kicking was really poor in comparison and we never built any pressure. When we did get the ball in a good position we dropped it let them off the hook with a poor end to the set. While Lilley was great in defence and never took a backward step his kicking in general play wasn't up to it and we missed Gaskell.
Wynne's not a fullback. Two dropped bombs and out of position for the York try in the corner.
I'd drop Appo for the next game, he's not right. He's not a lazy player so I suspect it's an injury. We have options to cover the backrow if needed.

| Agree it was a strange game. First half I thought we were really dominant but without it showing on the scoreboard.
Second half we totally fell away which was IMO a combination of poor attitude and poor refereeing (the policing of offside was probably some of the worst all season and I'd challenge any team to make yardage under the circumstances).
I think we have some players whose form is questionable... Wynne looks to be lacking in confidence and fitness, Appo and Wallace have been non-existent last 2-3 games and someone really needs to get Jowett to calm down. I love his enthusiasm but he's playing like an excitable puppy which is badly effecting his decision making (I never thought i'd hear myself calling for GFS to get back on the pitch to bring some calmness).
3rd place is still in our hands... win both games and we will secure a home tie. Lose both and we could well be out of the playoffs altogether.

| Agree about Jowitt. I don't think he's a Hooker, his distribution isn't great and has been a little bit greedy in all honesty by going for glory when it isn't the right play. Only listened on the radio yesterday but sounded like he went for a barge over try again and knocked on the first tackle.
If Gaskell is fit I be tempted to go
1.Jowitt
6. Gaskell
7. Holmes
9. Lilley
Jowitt was ear marked for FB in pre-season and I think he looks better there than at Hooker. Also think he's better there than Wynne who I think will make a decent player, but doesn't have the ball skills for FB and in all honesty, just looks like he needs a decent full pre-season under his belt.
We desperately need to sort our dummy half speed our though.

| I think Jowitt at hooker isn't something we'd have seen had Segeyaro not got injured. Needs must I guess and he looks like player who'd better suited somewhere else - it reminds me of when we played Robbie Paul at hooker. Neither him or Flanagan are even a medium term option as our dummy half and I think this area is the most important position we need to address in recruitment.
Jowitt did take some wrong options but then Flanagan did as well with that awful kick on the last in the first half. Our last tackle options really were poor.
On Wallace and Appo I do wonder if they're carrying injuries. Most players have a niggle by this stage of the season.
Wynne has played most of his rugby at centre I believe. I'd give him a run there and put Arundal in the back row. Myers on the wing for DFJ. Tindall on the other since it sounds like Blackmore may be out for a while with his back.
