I'd def reccommend Bharat. I went back there a few weeks ago and the food was nice. Its actually owned by Gujerati's too. Its always packed on a sat night. Don't really need to book - just turn up like we do lol.

Zouk oooo I was considering a visit as it was supposed to be a social enterprise, but I looked online and it got mixed reviews

Zouks used to be my fave, but it has recently expanded, and I don't think the chefs can cope with the larger quantities. Also I wouldn't recommend going in a group larger than four.

I was driving past the Punjab this morning and it would appear that it has closed down - no more chapple kebabs!

Hope this isn't true. Went in during February and it was 1/2 shut as they were having major renovations. Hope it's part of that.

Don't panic, I went past on Saturday afternoon and it was business as usual. I presume it was a refurb.

Went to Zouks on Leeds Rd, 1pm last thursday and was ushered in to sit where I wanted. Sat at a table for two and then asked to move by the waiter to a miniscule table for one in the corner by a coat rack that prodominated much of the table.
I asked why I could not use any of the 11 tables that were free and was told that they were all "booked"
When front of house lies are so blatant I didnit wish to consider the honesty of the kitchen.

I visited the Sweet Centre before the Leeds game the other week, that was rather lovely. I forgot what I had though, except a lovely huge samosa.

Going to Anam's up Great Horton Road next week - anyone on here been there? Any good?

I have- very nice! They do (or did) a buffet deal where you can fill your boots for about £11 with starters,curries and puddings. Nice surroundings with a humungous fish tank running right through it.

Buffets are great for eating til you explode but I like to think my food is at least partially freshly made.

Looks like it is the buffet we are going for - it has been recommended by some Asian's at work, so maybe alright then...

When I used to live there we used the Shalamar (still do!) and the Chinese further down Manch Road bang opposite the end of Parkside Road. Double Happiness it was called but it's donkeys years since I've dined there. China City on Halifax Road isn't too far away and that's decent scran but they don't deliver. (Just beef,chicken or pork!)

Plenty down Manchester Road, its about finding one that you like though. Supposedly, Shalamar, Shah Jehan have decent grub, but I have been to neither.

There is also Spicy Cottage and Future Balti in Wibsey.

All these are within 5 minutes drive from the ground.

Swear we should get Mumtaz or someone like that to make curry in the ground. It'd be amazing, especially when i come home from uni for the day and a missing my curry fix.
