This is the actual ruling that caused Hood to "surrender". more like steer the car away from the brick wall it was about to hit, ok into the ditch but thats another story.

the case you will note is Leeds versus Harris as primary defendant. He claimed restraint of trade, the judgement essentially was that it was not in these particular circumstances. We were next and because of this ruling were on a hiding to nothing, no defence whatsoever. So Hood did the only thing he could do with the hand CAisley dealt him, folded and saved a fortune in legal fees and compensation.

These people can approach the RFL but the only person that can sell the club is the Administrator. All this seems a bit backwards. Surely prospective buyers should approach the Administrator with an acceptable offer before wasting time at the RFL.

Hood, as a director, had a legal obligation not to take such risks with the company.

A more pertinent question might be that if Caisley was so absolutely certain that his case was correct why didn't he give us a 'no win, no cost' indemnity, after all, he is/was the head partner in Walker Morris,the legal firm acting for us? He was also the club's largest shareholder so it was clearly in his best interests to come up with the 'right' result.

If the RFL don't approve them as owners it devalues the bid. The club is worth very little if it can't operate and without an on-going business nothing would get back to the creditors.

[uIF[/u Mr Lamb has made a provisional offer to the receivers that is acceptable to them he first needs agreement from the RFL that the Bulls would obtain/retain its superleague licence under his ownership before then confirming his offer.

But don't we know from last time that the RFL cannot guarantee retaining Super League licence.

But we know from QI that the egg came first as chickens evolved from early species which all emerged from eggs originally.

There's no point a prospective owner going straight to the administrator if the RFL are going to turn around and say that person is not a fit and proper person to run an SL club.

IMO, speak to the RFL first, get their blessing THEN look to lay out the cash for the club. Otherwise we get a Whitc*t situation

Wonder how RFL will view Omar's bid to the administrator. Will they class him as a fit and proper person?. Bradford city rumoured to be one of other bidders too.

What I don't understand is how new owners can put a price on the club if they don't know which players are going to walk out. It already seems that the current incumbents have bid for a team only to see two of it's assets walk away (seemingly with the RFLs blessing).
And can we finally nail one thing - Although the current directors did say they would not stand in anybody's way that wanted to leave they did not say they could walk for free.

I also got the impression that OK is behind one of the potential bids. Must be an odd situation for the current owners to be in, thinking they are the new owners of a company, to later find they have to leave the keys with the neighbours.

The whole sorry mess is an embarrassment to the game but that would bring the game into disrepute.

Prospective owner Lamb seems pretty confident of gaining control from the way he is wording his Twitter tweets.

The problem is that if indeed things get better in two months time we might have already lost to wakey and cas, have 4 points deducted and be 8 points behind our relegation rivals. In which case it's too late.

Tell me that is far fetched because it seems entirely plausible to me.

We can all talk a good game. Every other owner we have had has done so.

what?!! I mean WHAT?! Eh?

As for the current owners, couldn't their involvement be viewed as a short term way of ridding you of the problems of the previous owners before the season starts, thus buying a bit of breathing space to find a long term new owner? Worst case scenario was that they would have to run the club for a whole season or so. The whole purchase scenario would be a whole lot more problematic of OK Bulls were still running the show.

Don't worry, I know that, but I find that I'm admiring the guys confidence.

Most would do all their homework behind closed doors, but he's putting everything out into the public domain. He's seen the state of the finances and he's still not fazed.

I just wish the other interested parties made themselves public, just so we have an idea of whom they actually are!

You are fast becoming a despised and embarassing club, and that's sad.
But you can't educate pork or beef in this case!!
