cant say im too bothered about missing out on that one tbh. hes not really done anything for a few years and I'd imagine celtic are having to pay through the nose for him. Celts' wealthy owner has obviously been putting his hand in his pocket - how else could they have recruited (and paid for the relocation of) the coaching team they did - and Celts anyway had some big holes in the playing staff to fill. Not sure how much this guy would have cost though...maybe not as much as some think?

After all, had we signed him (and it was only ever yet another rumour/wish list started - on here?) imagine the inevitable outcry at us signing a player not that far off 30 who had (IIRC) only had two brief stints of the bench for the Dogs all season?

To be fair, we were never actually linked with signing Utai. I merely mentioned that he was out of contract not that the Bulls wanted to sign him!

Is it just me or are the squad announcements much later than usual this year? (Or just that some real positive signing news is overdue) Isn't it normally all done and dusted and eeked out in to the T&A the week after the GF latest?

He's definitley got bags of potential, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him in the England team in 3 or 4 years. Not sure about that though, toss up between him and Sam.

IMO the squad is way too thin and still short on quality. Even if the kids are really impressive we're going to struggle for numbers. Rumour has it we're likely to sign one more forward and a back. I hope it's somebody decent.

totalrl forum seems pretty convinced the prop is richard moore. Cant say im too impressed with that. admittedly he's come back from serious illness this year but cant see that he offers a significant improvement on kopczak/crossley.
