Some hope!
It'll be chocolate and cerise with a purple chevron or something like that.

| Quote ="paulwalker71"This thread is a bit laughable really.
Kooga is a professional company that design sportswear all the time - basically, they know what they are doing. They aren't going to design shirts that people don't want to buy, as that would be commercial suicide. So we can be sure with whatever they come up with for 2012 will be what they believe, in their professional judgement, will sell the best. That means more money for the club!
If people don't like an individual design, then that's simply a subjective opinion. It doesn't mean anything in the overall commercial reality of what Kooga do'"
Absolutely agree.
"Please mister kit supplier, I know the Bulls kit you supply is popular and you sell loads of them to the fans, but I don't like it so can you change it? If you don't i'll never by one again! Mwaaaaahhh!" Sound of toys being thrown out of pram.

This is the only area where I'll admit to being a bigot. If you admit to liking what Kooga put out I think you're either a druggy or a weirdo. When I read peoples posts I always check back on to this thread so I can gauge if the person writing is sensible or not. I find it very useful.

Sorry but that's just not accurate. Everything there is in every shop was designed by someone, with a view to selling as many as possible. I would say if judged purely by sales, the vast majority of designs are either a failure, or a disappointment. The fact that a design comes from Kooga does not at all mean that it can't be poor, or even gash. Also, sports shirts are something of an anomaly, since it is an item that many fans will buy, whatever the state of it, to support their club, even if they don't particularly like it. This much has been evidenced by for example reading this forum over the years. I'v bought Bradford shirts I didn't like, just for those reasons. I also find ludicrous the suggestion that, of all the pro rugby and soccer shirts available every year, produced by the likes of Kooga, the one produced for every individual club is THE absolutely best one it could have been, and will sell more than anything else they could have made. If that is so, why is every other clubs shirt not the same, apart from colour scheme?

I'm not sure you can have a 'best', given the subjectivity, unless it's defined by sales, which let's, be honest are more likely to be influenced by how the team is, or is expected to be, doing in the league, rather than actual opinions on the shirt.
Obviously, as you point out, every year [ican't[/i be 'the best' every time, in any case if we ever get this mythical 'best ever' shirt we should stick with it permanently shouldn't we? Well, at least until the designers come up with an even better one.....which is likely to be a while if we're talking about replacing the 'best ever'.
Of course, commercial realities come into it, because even if we have a super duper, best ever, unlikely to be bettered, wonder shirt, when everyone has bought it, its days are still numbered because finances dictate we must have shirts for sale which fans want to buy and not another like they've already got. So, chances are, we're going to get a less than perfect one the time after. Still as long as it's wearable (and has the colours in the right order ) I guess it'll be alright.

| I always thought the problem with manufacturers was that they are a committee so 1 person might not like something other people do so it may get rejected, i did like this years kit was an improvement on langleys testimonial kit.
Purists may only want the old kits but time have got to move on personally i think they would look dated and a modern twist on the classic would be very nice similar to what leeds, hull, wire and wigan (for 2012) have got but they are all made by ISC and but their flaw is that they are all the same style part from colours which seems boring to me.

| We've had awful shirts for the last 2 years which I've bought, it would be nice to have a more traditional shirt, with collar.
I really liked the ISC shirts this year and Kooga should take note. Is it realistic Kooga will take notice, probably not but you can but dream!

| The thing is, I always thought the ISC kits were utter rubbish when we had them (especially the quality of the replicas) - typically they massively up their game in the years since we dumped them!

| ISC UK went out of business. They had the naming rights, but weren't overseen by the Aussie company.
Everything they do now, even over here is done by the Aussies.

Wish we could say the same about the Aussie firms who (pretend to) build shopping centres
