I'd be in favour of a smoking ban on the terraces. Plenty of other space around Odsal for those who wish to fill their lungs full of crap. Plus smokers stink, so that would be another benefit.

If you have a smoking area you take the well dispersed smoke that will nromally dissipate in the open air and intensify it into a small dangerous fog. I don't smoke but find anti-smoking zealots distasteful. Equally so, those who think they have a divine right to light-up bang in the middle of a packed terrace

The club can be pragmatic, avoid overtly banning it but ask people to not smoke in the very middle of standing fans. I've seen a lot of reasonable smokers puprosefully standing at the edges.

Ah the anti smoking nazis at it again! Is it the smell or the non existent so called health issues that bother you? If its the latter do some more research about the crap you breath in each day and then you'll get some perspective about much of a problem cigarette smoke is. I believe the impact of passive smoking is massively overplayed. I also know that people smoking next to you, if you don't partake yourself, can make your eyes stream and cause you to cough. That's a genuine physical reaction not a Roy Castle fabrication.

You can't really liken that to body odour which, though unpleasant, is not going to affect you like that.

Getting people to stand a bit further away is a waste of time, since the gazillions of molecules spread out at an exponential rate. As you watch the Bulls, (or indeed any other time or place), you are inhaling and exhaling numerous molecules of air that Julius Caesar inhaled and exhaled. But I don't remember him ever being at Odsal.

Odsal fine as it is, and has been for years. You're not going to die from a tiny bit of second hand cigarette smoke.

Perhaps not die but I still find it pretty rude. I actually take more issue with the smell and the ash that flicks off in your direction depending on the wind. If I spent half the match sneezing all over you, it probably wouldn't kill you but you might find it a little rude perhaps?

Yeah I get it. You dont like smoke, so why dont you do yourself a favour and go stand or sit in a no smoking zone instead of complaining when somebody lights up and the inevitable smoke blows near you.

I'd probably belt somebody if they threw a pint in my face, that's a calculated and directed action. I dont choose which way the wind blows and i certainley dont direct my smoke at somebodys face. However, if I were surrounded by a group of heads I would move, because I dont particularly like drunk people.

If I didnt want to be arround drunk people I wouldnt go to a pub or stand near them, so if you dont want to be around smokers then dont go in a area that permits smoking or stand near them.

You have blatently missed the point. Your the one being anti-social by puffing away so why should I and other that don't smoke have to put up with you blowing smoke around?
