You are right.

There are wealthy community based backers and fans interested, but they were not talking to the now defunct CB and his SCC, due to concerns re the role that was likely being played by the aforementioned external parties. The true story is complex, but is we believe about to be told. It may well be a best seller, but sadly for the main part only in Bradford .. and possibly Salford lol

I wonder, will the RFL be forced, to take over the club themselves, in order to protect their interests (not through generosity). This has raised its head a few times down the years. I'm not even sure if there is an option in their rulebook for it. Would probably need an EGM.

We certainly now need to ditch the bulls tag and reform as Bradford Northern. Start from scratch in league 1 and on a better footing. Because the bulls brand is tarnished and I think any new buyer will only put money into a new club

Agree 100%, but as we have said for some time, this (for the main part) excellent forum has had its uses. It is read by many, but has only a limited number of 'posters'.

Anyhow, 'we' will meet in the next week and determine where we go from here.

CB messed around with DD for 3-4 months and pulled out - possibly because he was instructed to do.

We do not plan to take that long, but sadly the club may have to take a another 'administrative' or CVA based step backwards before moving forward.

The key messages we would like to put across at this juncture are a) there is hope; b) we also need time, c) we offer no guarantees, d) we will want ((likely in confidence in the short term) to meet up with a select sub-set of fans, and e) we have never taken the insults and (somewhat understandable) abusive comments dished out to us on the forum - and elsewhere - personally.

Passion is running high, and sadly the money has ran out. There's also the new scandal to report upon and a new competing consortium to doubtless deal with, who again are likely to be 'connected' with the past. Ho hum.

Statement from consortium

FOLLOWING THE STATEMENT FROM CHRIS BRERETON THE CONSORTIUM LOOKING TO TAKE OVER THE CLUB HAS TODAY ISSUED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE.
We would like to thank Chris for all his hard work over the past weeks, moving the club into a position where a transition can take place from Andrew and the previous board to new investors.

We are sure it was a very difficult decision for Chris and we thoroughly understand and respect his reasons for standing down from the consortium at this time.

Although Chris stepping down is disappointing, it won’t affect the resolve of the remaining group and we are hopeful of some positive news at the first fans forum tomorrow night.

We look forward to speaking with all the fans who have managed to secure a ticket for either tomorrow or Wednesday nights fans forums.

Guess fans will find out tomorrow. Why they couldn't introduce themselves god only knows. Anyway I expect hopes to be raised, dragged on until Christmas and go pop anyway

The Bulls brand is a bit schizophrenic. If you did a survey in an area with good RL exposure - you'd get good & bad brand recognition. If you did surveys in London & the south, you'd likely only get brand recognition of Leeds, Wigan, Saints & Bradford Bulls.

May well be Ralph (in late evening in Oz; assuming he's still there) possibly under the influence of the alleged puppet master.

You need root and branch reform of the RFL to get anywhere. That's a big ask, but not we feel insurmountable. We have some central and local gov't 'support' on our side.

Our heritage and history I am proud of and irreplaceable to me, but the legacy left is beyond comprehension and has now seen the Club's modern day Branding tarnished and it's standing all but demolished. We need a new Club and a rename if ever there is a possibility.
