I was at the Saltaire festival yesterday where two hardy individuals manning the Bulls Pledge stall gave me a car-sticker. Fair play to them for getting out there and spreading the good word in absolutely filthy weather.

I was chatting to them on Sunday morning, they said they were very confident of reaching the target. They had got a quite a few pledges on the Saturday.

But also not to be holding breath for a "marque" signing. Exciting signings, yes. Useful signings, yes. Marque signings, not necessarily. They also said that Royston is a fantastic signing.

They never update it over the weekend. Someone on here witnessed them taking pledges at the Saltaire thingamy at the weekend, so it's obviously not an accurate figure. The next time it updates could however be the accurate figure.

Why on earth would they want to tell you the exact number of pledges? I wouldn't if I was running it.

They've got you all clambering around, trying to get as many extra pledges as you can (and rightly so) because you think the target won't be reached. If they said that we were already at 10000 would everyone still be making as much effort?

If we usually get 6500 season ticket holders, I'm sure we must have plenty more than that. Although I go to most home games I haven't had a season ticket for years. I've pledged with my wife and 2 friends and I've persuaded 4 others to pledge, all of who never get season tickets. I'm sure most people on here have done similar.

I'm pretty sure that the pledge figure is a lot healthier than stated but I won't let it stop me from finding more.

How do you figure that? Mad rush at the end?

We were told a while back that there wasn't a back log and Pledges were being processed as they came in....

Still over 2k current season pass holders have STILL to make the pledge.

I don't think we'll get 10k but the next best is 9k and a £67 season pass.

I dont. we should get over 7k mark tomorrow. I'd say to have any chance we need to get to 8k mark by friday. Even then 2k in the last week is going to take some doing unless we can announce a positive signing at weekend/monday at latest.

What if it's one of the two names we discussed earlier would that get the pledges in?

I think it's vital we play this one down the line as we don't want to end up stopping people from pledging.

I'd be highly surprised if a backlog wasn't ongoing.

I hope there is a large back log and we make the 10,000, but we were told there wasn't and we are only getting about 150 per day which should be easy to process. Orford turning up for training early would probably help! As would the signing of a Stand Off, we can but hope!

Do ticket prices stay at normal price?

This has been asked several times. There is a pledge thread, maybe mods could make that a sticky?

Anyway, if we don't hit 10k, the ticket prices will be pro-rated down depending on the numbers who've signed up

By my reckoning you need around 240 per day now. Bit worrying. I think after you have made some decent signings, you would have done it easily. Is there any events or promo yet to happen that might boost numbers?

There's another drive this weekend, so hopefully that ups the figures.

When this was first announced, I was hugely confident we'd make it easily. Now, my confidence has plummeted somewhat.

Too many peoople sat around moaning about the decline of the Bulls and all matters related, who can't be d doing anything about it. Same old "somebody (else) will have to do something about it" culture that afflicts so much of society now. About bloody time some people recognised that in this, as in so many other things, if they want things changing then they have a certain degree of personal responsibility to help effect that change?

Well it's simple do like I have and buy multiple pledges.

Even if every supporter bought two you would still only be paying £120 for your season ticket.

As for the 2,000 leaving it late, I think they may have had enough and won't be coming back to Odsal even with the offer of a £60 season pass.

The McNamara years have done irreversible damage.

If we hit 8.5k then we may end up with around the 10k mark once the child season tickets are included. Certainly not a bad figure but I'm sure the club will be disappointed if they do not flog 10k at £60. It's been stated many times what would shift a few more, so fingers crossed.
