I'd take Bailey. He wins a lot of penalties, gets a quick play the ball, has pretty good defence, rarely makes daft errors and winds up opposition fans no end! He also has a bit of a mean streak which we could do with.

He must be doing something well to keep getting in a good Leeds side.

I doubt he'll leave Leeds though.

He's also contracted to Leeds for next season. I expect it would take a huge change in the relationship between the clubs before we could see a contracted player moving from Leeds to Bradford.

We need a prop to replace Burgess but I suspect Hall is being earmarked for that position, the T&A report on his signing mentioned him being played at prop.

Looking at who we have:

Props: Lynch, Scruton, Hall, Kopczak, Crossley
Second Row: Menzies, Worrincy, Whitehead, Olbison
Loose: Langley, Donaldson.

IMO we're lacking some class and depth in the second row especially if Menzies gets injured. At prop we're also looking a bit vulnerable and we really need Koppy and Crossley to come on for us.

Same applies to the backs where we're all aware that at present we have no back up whatsoever.

I think we need [iat least[/i three signings if we're going to improve on last year's league position. As things stand we're looking at 11th in the table in 2010 at best. Here's looking forward to some better news soon.

Paul Deacon gave away more penalties last year than Bailey.

Don't Leeds have a few issues coming up over fitting under the salary cap and retaining key players. He may have been told that he's better off finding a new club now?

I wouldnt have Ryan Bailey anywhere near our team if he was the No1 prop in the world. Hope we sign a impact prop though, quite happy with Menzies, Hall, Whitehead and Worrincy for 2nd row with Donaldson and Langley backup if needed.

Hall is a back rower who can play prop at a push, we shouldn't be looking at him as being our replacement for sam. He would add that bit extra in the SR and I think he would be a good replacement for Morrison. Atm though it would be easier to find a SR than a prop.

That looks alright, not anywhere near the best thopugh, I think Bailey could add that bit of nastiness and mean streak and also give a bit of impact off the bench, he'd need to do what he did on saturday consistently though.

I have it on good authority that we aren't signing any more back rowers, so I wouldn't hold out hope for that.

Also don't forget that Nero can play back row if needed. Hopefully we're looking at giving plenty of game time to Whitehead, Donaldson & Olbison instead of treating Worrincy as a first choice.

I'd think a prop is a far more important signing than a back rower (although I get the feeling we may not be getting one of those either).

Forgot about Olbison aswell.

These days you need 4 Props. I would rather see Glenn Hall play in the 2nd row. A good quality prop to go with Lynch, Scruton and Kopzcak and we should have a decent pack.

But we are getting so many coming on here bringing a bad case of schadenfreude, that its becomes increasingly difficult to tell the wheat from the chaff.

I agree with that, but there is a shortage of quality props going about, if there's no one better, i'd settle with Bailey on a 1 or 2 year deal.

If we are using the Burgess money for transfers (can anyone scan it in or type it) then why not put in a big offer for Eastmond ? For reasons (i think) Bullpower mentioned.

Would people be happy to see Pryce back at the club? Whether that be at 6, 13 or perhaps centre? His form seems to have nosedived according to Saints fans, problems adjusting to the new coach or just coincidence?

I'd take him back, but not on a massive contract. I'd take him as a centre as I'd like to see Kearney get a go at 6. I don't think he'd return to play in the centres as thats partly why he left though.

Both the young Burgess brothers moving into the first team for next season, as said by Luke Burgess at Leeds Rhinos Homecoming ceremony.

A year early I would have thought, but if theyre good enough.....etc

From watchiong them i'd have said next year aswell, but would be good to have them in for cover and also if we are going to be short on props they may get a go.

If there's nobody of sufficient quality available, then it looks like we'll give youth a chance, can' argue with that.

I fancy they`ll still play far more in reserves/academy but a squad number and the training with the first team bodes well for the future.
