Liam Moore tried his hardest too bring life back into Cas in the 2nd half late hit on Gilmour everybody was expecting to be called even Cas play on.

Gilmour?

There were two hits on the kickers but I didn't think either were that late (for either side). Game was played in good spirit. If anything I thought Cas seemed to have the poorer discipline in the first half especially.

Well what a result and nice to wake up to on a Monday morning. A bit like Leeds in 2019, this was probably our "final", but with a favourable draw, maybe we could have a shot at the 1/4 finals. The cup games always disappoint with the crowd, a real shame just shy of 3k were there to see it, though I get the reasons why.

I noticed a few of the click bait journos such as Bower and Carter couldn’t bring themselves to write too much positive about the game without stirring up some Odsal bashing.

And to think Aaron was one of the founding members of Bull Builder with us...

I'm not a regular reader of his work so perhaps that is just his style. But this was an early round cup game, not a qualifier for SL. And whilst we are on the subject of Bradford and SL, you'd think every side in SL has been playing out of modern fit for purpose stadia since our relegation 10 and bit years ago. Wakefield have only just recently built a new stand but still have plenty to do, Cas I believe have made some small improvements but it is largely still the same. Huddersfield are still wholly reliant on an ageing KD, without his backing they're a Championship club. Salford have been a mess and it remains to be seen how the new owners work out for them. Bradford have only just got control of the stadium back, so quite what they were expected to do in that time I'm not sure. Finances are probably still far from perfect (but the sport as a whole is struggling) but they do appear to be making improvements where they can. Perhaps that narrative doesn't generate the traffic they need, who knows.
