Being linked with and actaully signing are two different things. It won't take much to improve on whet we have but also it won't take much for us to replace like for like and stand still...

Yeah, Dowes and Walker do. Dowes has been in a strong team for a long time and Walker is an ex GB international, not to mention Elima and Meli who are both quality players. All completley different from the usual bunch of cellar dwellers Macca usually signed.

I would say Dowes would come under the 'average' category for me. He isn't particularly big for a Prop and doesn't really offer the 'impact' type player we could do with.

You misunderstand me on marketing as the new Lesley. I didn't literally mean that we would say he, or anyone else was the new lesley, but rather that the whole Awesome foursome, Volcano, Rampaging Bulls is the soul of this (post 95) club and I feel that this could be the best and most efficient way to tap back into the lapsed fanbase.

Agree that a 6 is the #1 priority, but if we can't get a top class one there then 3/4 is next and then prop for me.

Ainscough would be a great signing, not sure about Walker, if he got back to his Leeds form then obviously he'd be a great signing, but it was a very bad injury. Dowes no thanks, just another average player.

in absence off a new signing I'd leave platt at and use sykes as injury cover. imo his defence at is way too much off a liability. with likes of finigan and wardle as backup/competition for spots that certainly looks stronger than this years line up. standoff will be key area for improvement imo.
