coming in at much too slow a rate for us to make the 10k now imo. think we'll end up around 8.5k mark unless we have late surge to match the initial surge when scheme was announced which I cant see any chance off without a major signing being announced.

Using my calculations I now have us getting 8892, some 1108 pledges short.

I imagine there will be a last minute surge from those who like to put things off until the last minute.

We have over 2000 current season pass holders who are still to pledge.

When they finally get around to doing it, we'll have 8500 pledges in, leaving us 1500.

What does concern me is that the 2000 are leaving it so late.

It's cutting it fine IMO and it's not doing anything for my nerves.

My mum and dad haven't pledged. They are both current season ticket holders, but qualify for the reduced rate for pensioners. I spoke with them about it. They believe there's no point pledging because it doesn't affect them.

I'm not sure whether this is true or not, but it's bound to be stopping a lot of pledges.

I had this conversation with a bloke at work. He paid £100 OAP rate to sit down last year. It's £99 to sit down with the pledge thi year. I told him that he still saving a quid. So he did pledge, tight old git.

as long as their tickets cost more than £60 then it counts as a pledge afaik. wonder how many of the 2000 season tickets who havent pledged yet fall into this category?

They sit down. It's not that they're tight. They think that the pledge doesn't apply to them.

I pledged for 3 of us. Got no confirmation though. Supposed to be alright though.

I wasnt implying they were if thats how you took it. just making the point that there isnt a massive saving for certain categories of season ticket which qualify as a pledge so the people in those categories may feel they dont need to pledge as it doesnt affect them. In reality it does but in a more roundabout way as the more people we can get in the ground, the more they will spend and the more the club will have available to spend on the ground and squad going forwards.

are the Bulls targeting specific market segments at the moment?

is the assumption that the outstanding 2000 season ticket holders from this season that havent applied yet will apply, and thus the Bulls are targeting former season ticket holders that havent had a ticket for a few seasons?

or has it just been blanket marketing targeting anyone that will listen?

I am an OAP, sit in stand with my son,daughter, 3 grandchildren and have pledged 6 seats despite no apparant savings for 4 of us.... because they COUNT towards the 10,000.

wonder how many £45 pledges there have been? as they don't count in the total being posted (yet).

still think this is the best deal in any sport in this country for juniors - £45 for 27 matches - wow !!

if this number is in the hundreds then that may give some encouragement to the doubters.
