Was there talk of the Catalan (h) game on the 1st August being the prefered option?
Or to put it another way, does anyone have issue with that game?

It is in the school holidays. There may be a proportion of contributors (ie myself) who are away then. June/early july would keep away from said holidays.

1 August is the closest date to my 50th so would be a great party. I was intending being in Catalonia for a couple of weeks around then but would put it off for a few days.

I only have a problem attending Friday evening games.

Agreed, you're not going to find a date everyone's happy with, and it would be nice to do it in the summer. I say go for 1st August.

There are 3 people with school age kids at work, after much careful negotiation I have the first 2 weeks - and we usually go away at that time although nothing booked yet. If we are aiming for a summer game then the only alternative (which I assume is not a high category game) is 2/52 previous on 18th July vs Salford. Which is a week before school holidays.

As an aside - the Burgii were overheard last week in HMV Birstall complaining about the cost of posting stuff to Aus for XMAS. Perhaps another contribution required?

Just one bit of advice for the date, whichever game is chosen be sure to tell Steve McNamara as well, so he knows to put at least one of the Burgii in the 17
