I'll stand by my post quoting 7,500 season tickets (and that's all GS told me when I asked, there was no break down into specifics) but this was after the forum just in chat with maybe one or two in earshot. His aspiration for 10,000 is somewhere in the T&A ether.

Which would be worse:

1) Announcing that we will spend the full cap without any caveats regarding the number of season ticket sales;

or

2) Budgeting on the basis that we will sell 7,500 season tickets?

I still feel there would be an element of 'startup costs' budgeted in for the early signings, there wouldn't have been any, otherwise. I'm sure OK knows what the running costs of the business are too, so knew full well how much it was going to cost to set up. I'm pretty certain it will be run on a normal business footing too so ultimately it has to break even as a minimum, but that won't be decided at the time the early sales of season tickets are done.

There are other factors apart from season tickets anyway; sponsors, for a start must be a major mission before the start of the season.

Good. Addy has bucket loads of potential, but a good way to go to fulfil it. Hopefully he'll kick on this year and earn a longer deal.

I really like the idea of a back row of Whitehead (23), Bateman (19) and Addy (21). Something to build the future of the squad around.

This is true, but Whitehead needs to secure the ball more and stop dropping off tackles.

A lot of better wingers are made to look e by Charnley. Hell, didn't Ryan Hall take the out of Boyd in the 4 nations?? Didn't Charnley wipe the floor with Hall in the 50-8 win?? Ainscough is better no doubt but end of the day we have Kear who is a good player. Just needs a bit more confidence in his ability.

Heard Platty is off to Salford when their finances are all sorted. Will personally be gutted to see him go, been our most improved player in last 2 seasons

Why can't you look on the bright side? You could argue he never took a backward step. You could argue he showed commitment. You could argue he was prepared to front up against the likes of Hock. People on here argue the likes of karl Pryce don't show enough heart - heres a guy who tried his best, never shirked, and you are still not happy. Sounds to me like you are glass half empty type of person rather than a glass half full type.

IMO, Yes and always has been. Personally dont rate him that highly at winger. Hes a much better FB.

While I think he is a better FB than he is a winger, I'm afraid he won't get the nod ahead of BK. Maybe if Sammut or Gale get injured Kearney will move to the halves and Kear will go to FB. Hope Ainscough's contract is renewed.

Anyone know of any new props we may be signing? If it's true about Platt going to Salford and us getting a prop in return, which prop would it be? Don't want Platty to leave though, thought he had a much improved season last season.
