| Quote ="bobsmyuncle"Firstly, well done to the organisers of the Guide Post meet. Whether it is productive or not it will be a rally for those of us who currently feel disillusioned and impotent. We want to do something to help but dont know what.
I shall be there but have reservations atm for what's going to happen.
What is the purpose of the meeting? What are it's objectives and what will it seek to achieve?
What is the agenda, and who will run the meeting so that it sticks to it's objectives - otherwise it could degenerate into a mob shouting match.
"Bull Builder" is the Bradford Bulls Supporters Trust with all legal admin and structure in place so priorities should not include setting up another Trust.
Perhaps Bull Builder have been remiss in not organising a similar meeting, but they clearly need to be invited now to help this meeting.'"
So, who is going to this tonight? And what do we think might be a realisitc aim to get out of the night?
I would suggest a unified approach going forward between this new fan movement born out of the crisis and the excisting supporters trust of Bullbuilder.
A suggestion to the administrator/potential investors that there might be scope after this week for more fan involvement going forward (assuming there is a future) with the involvement presumably linked to the size of the the surving club. (smaller and lower down the league the more potential for involvement I would presume.)
Further than that I would guess its just trying to get some honest answers from BG as to what is in the pipeline this week and the potential fallout next week....can we even stage the game on Sun?
....oh and I don't really do facebook, so I have no idea if an agenda is out there or the meeting might be just winging it?

| 2 things I'm looking for from tonight if the grim reaper is there. 1. How far off are we from putting the game on on Sunday? 2. Will season tickets be honoured? - I'd be happy to pay on the gate if it helps the club get through this but some people simply can't afford right now especially if they are paying for a family to go. Better they're in the ground buying drinks etc. than not there at all.

| Quote ="Adeybull"Peter Hood made reference, just before Bullmageddon, to a future new model for ownership. I suspect that the long term future will indeed require a new ownership model. And it becomes increasingly clear to me that, in the absence of a sugar daddy, that model will have to involve the fans in some measure.
It has also been pretty clear to me that such a new model will take time and care to determine and establish.
Born out of a crisis maybe, I have never believed that a satisfactory sustainable long-term solution could be forged in the middle of a crisis. We need someone to put the fires out for now and buy enough time to do it properly. This is what I suspect the RFL may have been alluding to the other day.
Indeed, in supporting the pledge I hoped that that was what we were doing, although the Intervention seems to have put paid to that.
Maybe, just maybe, someone - I do not see how it can be the fans in the first instance, it has to be someone ready willing and immediately able to step in and finance and run it from day 1 - has the same idea. And will seek engagement with the fans about turning the club into some form of co- operative model for the longer term. That of course is where the vehicle of a supporters trust comes to the fore.
But we need that first step. Someone to buy us time to complete the season, whilst the future is put together. Which means someone who is prepared to themselves stand back in the future, once their transitional role has been completed.
If there is such a person out there, prepared to make a bid now and on that basis, they have every chance of being lauded by history in the same way as the great Trevor Foster has been.'"
That remains my view. And so I would hope that tonight might demonstrate - to potential investors - that there is are sufficient fans who do want to have a much more active involvement, and are prepared (according to ability and availability and what and how they can individually best contribute) to take steps to help bring a future new ownership model about.

| unless there is some more news by the end of the day I suspect the mood of this meeting might have just changed? We need to keep it focused and productive, whoevers going don't let it fall into a slanging and blaming match.

Then it would be best to cancel or postpone it. Pooring oil on the fire won't help anyone.

| For me the future now lies with a supporter run club in CC1. We have enough support to get behind such a venture. It can not be that expensive to fund if Hemel Stags and Northampton can get in. I would be willing to put more cash up for this if it means we can get rid of the scumbags responsible for the downfall of a great club.

it was organised through some face book group "the firm"??? not on here best check there. I suspect the answer will be".........................."followed by a "f### knows mate."
I would suggest there seems little point until we see all the moves play out, I highly doubt any fan involvement today could change the tack that seems to be set.

| What would be the chances of the fans buying the club post liquidation. I know it would have been better before they forked over £500k. But once liquidated, surely it's down to the best bid for the creditors, bar melting down the stands for scrap.
If the fans could pull enough money to pay the skeleton of the staff to the end of the season and pay the creditors the bare minimum, the fans could own the club, through a trust. Yes it's not alot of time, but how much would be needed for this?

Once a liquidator is appointed, there is no club. Or staff. Or assets other than ones to be sold to the highest bidder regardless.
No-one has to pay the creditors anything regardless.
There was no way the fans could do anything before administration, since the majority shareholders called all the shots. And once in administration, there was always going to be far too little time to do anything - I think most people do not realise just what legalities and other issues would be involved in the fans making a pitch for a club on this scale, and the timeframes for doing it.
But that presupposes that a white (red?) knight won't miraculously ride in, after a suitable interval, now the remaining impediments are being swept away.

Fair enough, I did wonder whether the fans could cause a steal from Caisley with a minimum payment and some gesture of future repayments to the creditors, by the end of the season.
But if it's going to be a last minute rescue then I guess the fans would not even get a look in.

Why not? Plenty of other supporter groups have done it? FC United of Manchester, AFC Wimbledon as you said. I am convinced a new club could be formed with the help of a supporters group. What is the alternative if nothing happens by Friday?
I'm not talking about saving the club as it stands, but creating a new entity by the people who matter, the fans.

Well said that man, Rochdale has a fans run club in Championship one , that`s the time when you find out who real fans are, most people on here don`t seem to care whose running Bradford they`d even take CC back as long as you stay in Super League.

| This is a golden opportunity to build a brand new club run on proper sustainable lines inheriting a good supporter base from the existing club. Leave the scum who have destroyed our club to the skeleton of what's left over. We do not want or need them. i'd rather have a few years in the Championships and build a 'decent' club than continue with you know who.
We the fans can do this if we really want to.
Do we really want our club run by these people?

| The meeting could end up being just like the pledge. A good idea, just held too soon.
Need to let the dust settle first otherwise people will be disenchanted at the apparent lack of practical options

Good luck to all at Bradford. This is a terrible state of affairs and I really feel for you fans as I know how I would feel if it happened to my beloved Rhinos

| Sadly the existing club is dead, there is nothing that can be done to save it unless someone wants to throw cash at the problem.
A new Bradford can easily be formed, there are enough fans with right financial acumen. It will be bloody hard work but it can be done, on a smaller scale I did something similar, as part of a dedicated team at Fax.....twice!!
The key question is who will the RFL allow to run a new club, play at the stadium and see out the season. Who ever they back wins.
Once the RFL have chosen then the next question is can a plan be produced that will secure the licence or will the team drop in to the championship. Either could happen, and keeping licence would be tough, and perhaps inappropriate, but there will be a future. Start building now

Inevitable I'm afraid, and one of the reasons I decided not to go. The Guidepost was always going to be far too small for a meeting like this

| I was in the room but left, it was stifling hot, no microphone by the point i left and tbh if there was a fire a lot of people would have been in danger of death. People arguing upstairs about why they couldn't go downstairs and why a bigger place hadn't been booked.
The administrator had just started talking but people were shouting at him to talk louder, at that point i decided to go.
Hopefully it'll get better but with that many people there, it being hot and a lot of frustration it's going to be difficult to keep it nice and civilised.
