I might be wrong but I get the impression Ainscough might be on his way. He was tweeting today about going to play golf while we were away at Wire. I believe he lives on the wrong side of the Pennines, so may have thought he would have gone to watch the game?

Halley did something similar by going to watch Man U, and a while later was on his way..... Wonder if Widnes are sniffing round him as he also had a spell on loan there in the past.

Again, could be wrong, but wouldn't be surprised to see him go.

Expect a backlash from the supporters of other clubs when we announce this guy, especially if it is at the expense of a young british winger in Ainscough.

I'll be a little sad to see Ainscough go to be honest. I thought he showed enough earlier in the season to suggest he might have some potential. 100% effort whilst in a Bulls shirt.. more than can be said for some of our 1 year signings.

Good, I would welcome news of his extension even more than that of Purtell signing.

No guarantees that he's not talking to other clubs though. Or that the deal we offer is any good. Personally I hope he stays as we've not seen him with a good run in the team yet and the lad scores tries.

The signing of Purtell is just another embarrassment for the British game.

Can't be any worse than what we saw today, and if he's playing regularly in the NRL he can't be that bad.

Theres a video of Purtell dropping the ball / errors (theres only 4 and to be honest on one he is taken out in the air) but theres also a video of a good take and good finish under pressure - can't post it though.

How is it an embarressment? Other teams are signing players / NRL rejects who are wife beaters, dog fiddlers and driving offenders.

Not had chance to watch the video but not overly concerned if he only makes 4 mistakes on it. Must still be an improvement on Ah Van. If they made a video of his mistakes this season it would be available in a box set.

Well Purtell doesn't exactly come highly recommended does he but he'll find it easier in SL.

What makes you think that? Connor made point of describing him as a three quarter rather than a which suggests he could feature at or wing. Penrith fans seem to think he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a spot. Bit of wishful thinking there, maybe because seems to be more of a weakness in the squad than wing.

Just a little point... Conner is not a coach he barely has any rugby league knowledge and expertise. He is a reporter and dies just that, reports what he's been told and that's it. Conner wouldn't know what position this guy played if he wasn't told

The guy has been holding down a regular centre spot and we are weak in the centres. This should suggest he ll be good enough to hold down a spot

I think Murphy has played a bit of league. To suggest he wouldnt know what poition one plays without being told is pants of the highest order. He's a RL reporter for frick sake.

When I was on about the position, I was saying that he probably didn't know Purtell existed untill he was told last week we might be signing him, so he wouldn't know what position he played

TBH i dont think you should rely too much on what other teams fans have to say about a player he may come to Bradford with a different attitude and change his playing style, he hasnt looked bad from what ive seen off him, and in saying that the same goes for Ah Van he may be pap for us but may go to Widnes and have a belting few seasons.........

.... I suppose we will just have to wait til 2012 to see what Purtell is really like !!!
