Is there any reason why other teams couldn't loan Wakey "fringe" players? It would be a good thing all round, with Wakefield being able to field as strong a team as possible and the players getting regular Super League experience.

Indeed, and very right to point out. Whatever one might think of club managements, the Wakey fans do not deserve the pile of shìt they have been served. Or indeed any - fortunately very rare - uncharitable and miserable comments regarding their current plight.

Where Wakey went wrong of course was in not changing its name to West London or Wrexham. Maybe a quick change to Wath-upon-Dearne or Wombwell Wildcats would be enought to convince the RFL that the club was ain a "development" area?

According to Stuart Duffy at last night's forum, Huddersfield have said they are going to loan them some of their fringe players after signing Dale Ferguson from them.

Can they wait to loan the players until after we've played them.........

Think there needs to be some clarity first regarding what players Wakey are left with, and also what funding will be available post-takeover (assuming it happens) - they might get a sugar daddy who can pay big bucks for new imports...

Chatting with Mick Potter last night re the Wakey situation I asked him there was anyone that he would cherry pick! he mentioned Ferguson as a good player, so I said its a shame he's already gone, he gave a wry smile but made no further comment! It's made me wonder though!

not considering they've only got approx 30 backroom staff. Basically they've put everyone on notice, which is standard practice I think when a company goes into admin. Plan is pretty much all of them get re-instated once sale goes through but they have to start formal notice periods incase it falls through.
