| They'll always be reason to moan!
Sack St Hilaire?!
This would have been good news last year personally, but we already knew he was going and it seems too little too late for this season. I haven't stopped going to the Bulls cause of Macca and don't know anyone who has so can't really comment on if people will come back, but my guess would be they won't until next season depending on next 2 or 3 results and signings..
Least the Board have shown some backbone.
Good Luck to Lee for rest of season.
COME ON YOU BULLS!

| Best for all concerned
Steve McNamara tried his best but failed, no shame in that!
Hope Hood & Co have learnt lessons from the last two years of his reign and make sure the Club & its supporters never have to endure such a frustrating couple of years again!!

| I must admit that I am really sad about this, because I really wanted Steve's tenure with us to end on a high. However, I am really struggling with the fact that the last two games I've watched (live) were Wakefield away and then Quins away - I simply don't believe that the same players turned up to both games!
Something was/is not right in the camp and eight defeats in a row (the last one of which was embarassing, and that's charitable) means the boss man has to leave. I just hope we can kick on from here.

It may be too late but they have finally dumped him at last and now we can close the book on the sorry saga of his tenure.
Good luck to whomever comes in. At least you do not have a hard act to follow.

| Mixed feelings.
Right decision by the club though. For whatever reason, since McNamara accepted the England job we've gone downhill. Admittedly, injuries have played their part in that, but they cannot be the sole reason. Whether McNamara has been having less input, or whether he was leaving St Hilaire with more on his plate remains to be seen. However, with recent results and performances it was the right move. In this sense I am pleased, it will shut up the moaners who say our board have no back-bone and hopefully it should at least improve the crowds a little.
It definitely feels like the start of a new era though. I believe next season will still be a transitional one, although with some of the personnel we have we should definitely be aiming for the play-offs.
There is no doubt that McNamara was given a very tough task to do though. Plenty of people do not realise how much work he has put into matters off the field, and some know, but will not take it into account whilst looking at his tenure. I am disappointed that it has had to end this way though, and I really hoped that we could send McNamara off on a high - he's always given 100% to the club (maybe not lately whilst having a dual role), he hasn't complained about the tough circumstances he's worked under, he has got on with his job. I hope (and I believe) that we will see all of McNamara's pay off in the future, so the ones who thought he should have been sacked 2 years ago will go quiet. Nobody can deny that on field we have seen a rapid decline, but that would have happened under any coach because of the cuts we've had to make. The fact that McNamara has tryed his damned hardest to keep us competitive, whilst working on a tight budget and also overhauling the entire youth structure and making sure we have the best setup we could deserves applauding. If we had not built the new training facilities, or invested more in youth we may be looking at a Bulls team that had still never missed out on the play-offs, but what McNamara has done behind the scenes needed to be done, and whether the haters like it or not, he's doon bloody well in that aspect of his job.
I wish Steve well and wish him the best of luck in his new job. If we see the current crop of youngsters go on to be part of a champion side in the future, then I know that McNamara will have played his part in it. Even though he hasn't won anything in his tenure, he has left the foundations for a coach to come in and build a bigger future for our club.
Thanks for everything Steve.

Yet critically you forget one thing. Nobody values your opinion.
6185 posts and not one of them constructive, of any value or use to the club. Equating to at least 100+ hours of time dedicated to moaning. I don't wonder you have issues.
Imagine if you had invested just one hour in emailing the club some valid, non toy throwing or holier than thou thoughts. Just imagine. But then that wouldn't suit your narrative would it.

| Should people be posting on here that he has been "sacked for not being good enough", when the announcement states he has left by mutual consent? Libel laws and all that? Or if you have evidence that in fact he has been sacked then post it?

OK left by mutual consent because he wasn't good enough. If he had been and not lost how many matchs on the trot, then he wouldn't have left. One thing that does sadden me is that he was a British coach.
