Well something had to give, I wonder if the RFL and Council thought he was bluffing? It's a very sad day but let's face it, Odsal was never in our lifetime going to be redeveloped. I'm not a Bradford resident, but what an absolute disgrace for a city like Bradford to see it's RL club relocate out of the city.

Selfishly the it isn't much further for me to go to Dewsbury and if prices drop accordingly I'll probably see more live games than i have this year.
What do Dewsbury charge for a match day ticket? Hopefully the reduction in costs will filter down into the supporters pockets as well.

Not happy with the Dewsbury decision as many have said before me we need to be in the City. Was Keighley ever mentioned as a potential ground share for the two years? BD postcode and all that?

Anyway putting on my sport development head. Take the emotion out of it and see it for the business that it is. 500k operating costs have gone and I'd sure Dewsbury won't even be charging half that for the season, plus they'll get income from the bars/food facilities. Cheaper than Valley Parade and as Chalmers has said Horsfall too small. I was surprised to see him say that temporary seating/stand was costly. Thought that might have been cheaper than Dewsbury.

Can see a lot of fans not going. My Grandad is 84 in October and lives up the road, been going to Bulls/Northern since the 40's/50's. Can't see him travelling over to Dewsbury every week. Hope I'm wrong though. I suspect a lot of people may not enjoy having to travel to Dewsbury. I myself love going to the cricket club before the game, walking over to Odsal then have a couple in Top House before home. Adding the trip to Dewsbury just lengthens the day. And I suspect some people may not have the disposable income to afford to get to Bulls then to Dewsbury. In addition to this the walk up support won't be any good.

What happens if we draw Leeds (or another big SL team) or Leigh in the Cup? Is there contingencies for that?

I really do want this to work. And I understand that Dewsbury may be the best option financially. But from this moment on there needs to be a clear communication about the plans going forward.

I think ac is doing the right thing, no one wants to spend money on odsal and it’s time to move on, let the rfl keep the lease if it means that much too them, ac is a business man, we should get behind him, he has been here 3 years and that in its self speaks volumes he is committed and in him we should trust

I don't really want to go to Dewsbury. But staying at Odsal is a confirmed, slow decline. Dewsbury is a gamble - kill or cure I suppose. It's a shame the Horsfall option isn't as workable as people think.

BPA should concentrate on getting more Stan fans then making such outlandish promises. I can't imagine their fans, or those of other local RL teams, liking this much. I think he is just jumping on the bandwagon.

They approved Dewsbury for Wakefield, so I don't see why they wouldn't.

They approved Sheffield moving to doncaster, Swinton played outside Swinton etc etc.

You know you’re still “a thing” when people ignore the fact lots clubs have played at grounds outside their postcode before to vent their spleen on the internet. Including some obsessed “journalists”.

Bulls can leave Odsal on 30th September this year, either RFL allow us to go Dewsbury or they risk leaving us homeless. Dewsbury will get accepted.

I love how everyone on Facebook and various forums are complaining saying the Bulls are dead with this move. A few years ago we were in admin and had no team. The current setup has seen us become stable and sustainable. This is part of the next step but it seems like fans would rather we stay at Odsal and go bust again and no team exist at all.

Is it possible to merge this thread with the one about no longer playing at Odsal? Surely there is a chance this thread could beat the record for the number of pages/posts! This subject is going to run and run.

My own view is that I am sad to be leaving Odsal but am glad that something is being done to break this cycle of admins/liquidations we keep facing. Odsal is one of the main causes of our issues over the last ten or so years and I don’t love it enough to want to keep going through the same old issues over and over again.

As a couple of others have said, Dews is actually the same distance for me to go to and I quite like it as a ground so no problem from my perspective in spending a couple of years there so long as it is just that. The Bulls need to get back to Bradford asap and I keep my fingers crossed that will happen. I totally understand & sympathise with the people for whom Dews will be too far/difficult to travel to.

I’m not really sure what the point in the RFL making their post last night was. For a governing body they seem ridiculously unprofessional and I will be glad that we will no longer be beholden to them in the ways that we have for the last few years. As others have said, precedent has been set with other teams moving grounds and I honestly can’t see how they can refuse the move.

However, despite all the above, something tells me there are still some games going on in the background and we haven’t heard the last of this subject for some time to come.

Bulls have come out and said either you do something about Odsal or we're going - Both the council and RFL have umm'd and ahh'd without actually offering anything. So Bulls have spoken with a neighbor about sharing their ground. Neighbor is happy to help as it means they get a decent upswing in their finances.
The only people not happy are the RFL because they're now lumped with Odsal and no rental income from it.
